I have my north node in Cancer in the 4th house and I really struggled for a while in most of my relationships. I think some people thought I was cold and didn't care, but I just didn't know how to nurture those relationships and be vulnerable. I have mercury and Lilith in Capricorn as well as my south node, so I'm always thinking about work and striving to be successful in anything that I do. As I've gotten older though I'm living a much slower life. I'm a stay at home mom and I'm enjoying being a homemaker. I'm in the process of becoming an entrepreneur so I'm learning how to live a more balanced life. I found this video helpful. Thank you!

You asre so welcome!! I love to hear about homemakers. I am a stay at home mum myself (we also home/unschool our 3, which brings up all sorts of other complications). Yes vulnerability is a tricky one. I realised that I had shut myself to a lot of feeling in my younger years. Humans are infinitely intelligent at survavl mechanisms. I have saturn in 4th house and moon in the 10th. My dad moved out of the family home when I was 10. He's very vague and distant. I've been dominated by my mother all my life. NN is transiting my 4th right now and I've had to move back in to my mother's home at age 52 and I'm suffering so much 😢😢

Oh no!!! I am sorry to hear that. I canhear from your description that there are some big parent challenges and learning how to embody what you have been 'served', and make sense of it in your own life. The Baby Boomer Generation can be quite judgemental as parents because they believe that 'if you work hard, you'll always survive' and so they appear to view when life goes wrong for their offspring / grandkids etc, that lack of hard work was what caused their fall from grace. If as i suspect your mum is a boomer, her Pluto will be aligned to your 7th house. One of the tricks with 7th house Pluto is that you will attract STRONG and STUBBORN and AUTHORITARIAN people into your life until you begin to own your own power and see how strong you truly are. PS I have run back to my paren's house twice in my 30s. It coincided with a time of complete unravelling and self doubt. Find a way to build yourself back up. It is hard to live in 'the listening and expectations' that your mum has for you and if you take her complaints seriously you'll wind up in self devaluation. I've paused at 3:43. Depending on house system used, and if your midheaven placement drastically alters quadrant vs equal house divisions, this node axis is one of four node axes which are going to be particularly difficult to work through: 10th to 4th 4th to 10th 9th to 3rd 3rd to 9th These node axes are the most likely to square your ascendant, and the 4th-10th or 10th-4th are also the most likely to square 1st house placements. But it gets even more messy if your ascendant and lunar nodes fall in mutable signs, because then it's guaranteed that your chart ruler will favour one node over the other. And if the ruler of your ascendant/chart is the same as the ruler of your south node, that's going to further overemphasize those tendencies and entrench you in your south node. And then you'd have to consider your chart ruler's placement - is it in a sign it rules? Or is it in the 1st house? How about the ruler of your north node sign - is the sign it's in in exile or fall? This is what I'm dealing with, a mutable 10th to 4th house lunar node axis, my ascendant/chart ruler is ruler of my south node and is in 1st house, thankfully only peregrine in its sign though, and the ruler of my north node sign is in exile in its sign placement. It is as difficult as it sounds, because the qualities I'm being asked to develop in this life go against all prior formative experience growing up, go against every fibre of my being, and you could bet I'd just entrench myself in the south node if my life hadn't been catastrophically derailed multiple times. I've been karmically backhanded so much that it's imperative for me to pay attention now, because I've clearly chosen to learn life's lesson the hard way haha.

yes you are right, this is very topsy turvy and inside out for someone in your situtation. My clients with Libra ascendant for example turn house meanings on their head. It is so difficult to record something to acocunt for everyone's unique situation, and yours by your definition sounds very unusual. I don't tihnk you're on your own in chosing a life path however, and I I love that you've shown up in this comment to share that you've chosen a difficult path. What about Capricorn north Node in 4th house? It's confusing because the signs are opposite as opposed to the house it's in. Capricorn in 4th house(Cancer) and Cancer South Node in 10th house(Capricorn)

I hear you. Strangely, I have just (re-recorded) the North Node in the 10th house., 4.5 years on from the original series. If you listen to both the 4th and the 10th, many of these themse will be picked up. One of your challenges might be to make good with being at home, within a family. And you might find that it's about being able to support oyurself, within an established moral/material childhood background. With the North Node going into Aries later this year, the North Node will be squaring your natal north and South node, which will re-trigger your patterns. Hope this helps

I was trying to relate this to my mum, who has this node axis in reverse. South node 4th house Capricorn to north node 10th house Cancer. The north node is easy to explain. Cancer qualities in the 10th house, what would anyone immediately jump to? A career in medicine and care. She's a doctor. What's more (important to note I don't use whole sign here), IIRC her 10th house cusp is in Gemini, and over the past few years she's began transitioning into the role of being a health communicator, holding open surgeries attended by members of public in the community on dietary and lifestyle intervention for metabolic and other chronic conditions, and developing and sharing recipes for how to affordably eat healthily, helping diabetics improve their health and avoid insulin resistance, helping people wean off statins and other drugs. I know other people who have a Cancer-Capricorn node axis, sometimes running in the other direction, but not in these houses, who have also pursued careers in medicine and care. Those fields seem to be a comfortable ground for balancing Cancer and Capricorn energies. Having a 4th house Capricorn placement is tougher to consider. Without going into too much detail, a south node placement here can be explained two ways. First, she and her siblings grew up in an environment which exposed them to their parents' working lives, and their parents were work-oriented. Second, the family seemed to form the model for social organisation for them, and aspects of esteem and social standing seem to permeate the internal family dynamic. So what if your nodes are the opposite? I wish I could say more, but I'm on this video contending with my own north node 4th house placement. The only thing I can think for you in terms of a 4th house north node in _Capricorn,_ is perhaps if we consider Capricorn's significations when it comes to esteem, reputation, social standing, that in the 4th house this is inviting you to consider whom it is important to maintain good standing with - complete strangers, or those closer to you? Or perhaps Capricorn qualities could be brought to bear on a more chaotic or disordered home life, to introduce some structure there? I like the line of thinking that you aren't being called to abandon your south node, just bring it into balance - and that in fact, by addressing north node concerns, you could be removing an impediment stifling your south node tendencies from reaching their potential too - is a disordered home life encroaching on your ability to actualise what you want to pursue work-wise, outside the home?

I am a leo rising with my NN in the 4th house with scorpio so my SN is in my 10th house? with my gemini sun? oh my NN is in sag, my SN is in gemini. very confusing.

I hear your confusion. These readings are jsut based on the hosues and not the signs, so if you know how to look up your chart, on www.astro.com, have a look and you canfollow the symbols on your chart and count which house they're in. Great question. I wouldn't say that, because I believe everything is possible 🙂 but I would see it as one of those life challenges we might struggle to get a good balance on. These podcasts are just examples, but always better to read 'the whole' chart, where there might be stronger indicators out there to show 'private' fame against the odds. Practically, there would be 1/2 of the population born with the sn in the 10th everyday, and most of those aren't famous. They could represent someone who has been born into a famous family, or who marries someone who is well known........Maybe I need to do a sn series! Because the sn represents what we have always done well , they might just be super talented but really not interested in pursuing what they're good at. Great question and thanks for asking.

Yes i see it like also something you've learned in past lifes and it doesn't give you the whole fullfillment like working with your NN Themes, but it's still an important part to balance SN 10H out with the NN 4H Lots of love❤ thx for sharing

Taking care of my family and my future family is a big wish, but also my carrer, i have aditionally to my, SN10H another planet and an asteroid in my 10TH house. So i feel the need for balance both of this aspects.

@@janjustice999 I have a similar experience that shows up, but not from my nodes, but from my Sun and Moon. My moon is in a very strong conj with Ceres and Jupiter in my 4th. My Sun is in a strong trine to my MC, but I can't seem to get the balance right. It feels futile sometimes. It would be easier to just be a mum or a career woman. It has at times felt disappointing to be able to only achieve so much. And my choice would be family first every time. The 4th/10th is a difficult balance to observe. Thanks

Hey Ros, the North Node info you've just listened to is the same, and it also takes on a 'creative' spark. The Leo energy infuses the fourth house and creates more warmth at home. It makes you 'more dominant', more like the sun that people revolve around. You might find it helpful to listen to the 'North House in the 5th House' as the 5th house and Leo have a similar feel.
