For instance, if your North Node is in pisces and pisces rules your 8th house, your North Node is in your 8th house. I hope that you can understand this :).

My NN is in the 8th house in Aquarius! BUT in a Placidus natal chart - Capricorn is the "ruler" of my 8th...so I listened to both the Aquarius & Capricorn NN 8th house explanations and they both resonated. So, I would recommend listening to both signs (the sign your NN is in & the sign that RULES your 8th house) and combining both interpretations. ALSO if in a Placidus chart your NN is in the 8th, but in a Whole Sign chart, it's in the 7th or 9th...I would recommend checking out Tan's other video on NN in the 7th or NN in the 9th to add to the meaning/interpretation of NN in the 8th. Wow what a fascinating video. I feel my eighth house is very strong. I am a Leo ascendant. So my chart ruler is my sun in eighth house. Jupiter is also here. I've always wanted to be my own boss, start a business but yeah l lack courage and confidence. It's interesting my NN is in Aries 8th that fear (getting out of comfort zone, losing security from a 9 to 5) is something l need to conquer. I have creative outlets l would to unleash. My Mars is exalted, it is conjunct my midheaven. So is my sun. My second house is completely empty but it's ruled by Mercury. I have intuitive and creative talents, esp writing, research with Mercury in Pisces. I have a Taurus Mars with a lovely speaking voice and l can sing a bit.

Mee too! I have my sun in aries cap rising (except pisces moon) nn virgo. Moon in Taurus is possibly a hard placement as well because it isn't accustomed for change and doesn't want change. I find my pisces moon is stuck to the values of the south node at times as well. It's like being tested consistently.

This video is amazing, thank you. Western therapy has become useless for me, and I imagine it's for an 8th house reason: western therapists often refuse or betray clients with suicidal ideation. I assume it happens more with someone like myself for karmic reasons, and this is probably not the 'typical' experience of an 8th house person in therapy... But I believe I'm not alone in this, either. If I can't speak about that part of my past and comfortably tie it with my present--without having to worry about someone quitting on me or calling the cops--then I can't open up and feel safe. So I've given up on all western/insurance-supported systems; I only work with people who understand spirituality BETTER than myself at this point, because I don't scare them, even in a crisis.

i first contemplated idea of suicide as a child, 6 years old, probably even younger (i was barely aware of myself), and from there on, suicide contemplation has become a regular practice, kinda like a reality check (i'm 53 now, so apparently i survived the thinking about it part.). . i still remember that 'first time': i was thinking about leaving this world, and the next question was: why would i stay, is there any reason for me to stay here. and the answer was instantenius: i have to stay here for my mum, my mum will not survive without me. i do need to say that i had a very happy childhood, amazing and loving family - everything was fine except for the fact that mum had epilepsy so every so often she would stay in a hospital (for observations i guess), and i was very, very close to her. Having said that, my family was protecting me from all of it as much as they could, so it's not like i had any reason for worrying about my mum or thinking that she would not survive without me...... as it turned out, i did spend good part of my life taking care of my mum (and dad later), as her health deteriorated over the years, and the 2 of us ended up in the middle of the war, left the country when the war was almost over and became refugees ...... her last battle was brain cancer (GBM). that experience was so horrific for me that i ended up traumatized for the next 10 years after her death (my dad getting sick and dying soon after her death did not help). last year was in fact the first year i did not have any symptoms of PTSD. these days, it's my dog that gives me the reason to stay. that's it.

Its confusing for sure.. I have my North Node in Picses 8th house as well. I most definitely started on my path early on. In my experience so far I've had a difficult time loving myself. I think I'm relatively smart or at least value my thought process and creative ways I research the questions I have and all the time I give to knowing myself in order to understand the world, but that has never translated well to how I treat myself in the external. My routine has been self destructive and I've willingly hit my rock bottom in many ways, one being through drug addiction. I feel like the phoenix rising after I let the 10 years of drugs and every thing else take me down into darkness because I popped out the other side into the light after a period of sober depression that turned my life around and for the next 6 months I experienced a magical connection to the universe, had visions to answer questions I had about the world when I stared into the clouds. It was my time of rebirth. I like to think of this placement as Jesus experiencing the betrayals and crucifixion after loving and trying to help everyone, but to love the world you must love yourself too and treat the body as a temple. I'm only starting to care for myself in the 3d world again recently but it's been hard. Part of me really wants and craves the darker things in life: destruction, death, etc and the knowledge gained from the deep dives. Its thrilling and painful, but I've grown to love the thrill and now I crave that type of pain that comes with it. You can't have one without the other, so we all need "the bad" to ever be able to experience the good. I've had one foot in the dark side my whole life and finally now I can really fully enjoy and give meaning to all the light. I believe its a hard path this placement walks but I feel its an unconditional loving unified one that gets to the deepest realizations nonetheless. I wonder if anyone with the same placement agrees or has similar thoughts at all.
