Sometimes it is which is disappointing. It is certainly not an exact science, but nor relying on science at all is a mistake. An idea coming from intuition or insights cannot become a statement without any proof (which unfortunately is very frequent in astrology). I've been studying astrology and there are so many different interpretations about one subject that makes astrology irritating because there are no explanations about how they get to the conclusions. People are so eager to express an idea with conviction instead of staying humble and admit that is just an idea not the truth because of fear that if you don't do so people may not take one seriously. This false sense of security must be overcome when talking about such ethereal subjects such as astrology

Right too many different interpretations for the same things. It’s unstable, which is very frustrating. I’m starting to wonder if the nodes even matter at all. And I’ve recently only been focusing on the personal planets, since the outer ones are more generational as they say, and relates more to your entire generation.

I feel like every day is a fight to take control of my mind. But when I'm around other people who are interested in my perspective I can definitely shine.

I'm a NN in Aries in the 7th. So I see as me being a Moon in the 1st in Libra figure for many lives (like Leo DiCaprio the charming loner) and I need to be more like a Moon in the 7th in Aries figure,like Steve Jobs the leader-like figure in partnerships and working with others while listening to my instincts and maintaining my indepedence. How would you interpret aspects to the Nodes though? I have Uranus trine my NN for example....does that mean when I acess my Uranus function I 'naturally' tap into my NN?

This is such a fresh and helpful perspective, thank you for sharing this. Following a past-life hypnosis session a few years back, I’ve begun to open myself to the possibility that this is my first incarnation here on Earth, and my ‘nodal story’ seems to affirm this theory even further...with my sun and ascending within a few degrees of each other in taurus, and my south node in aquarius (the collective ‘one-ness’ ocean), my north node is then conjunct my moon in Leo ~ so from what you’re saying, I’m here to very much learn to develop and have an individual human identity and ego, and it’s taken me a long time to learn to put myself first ~ to feel like I’m allowed to take up space in this world... Thats a very interesting perspective.. I definitely heard someone else assign moon to ego once. But then speaking of the fears, mars reflects them so as pluto, and ascendant to a degree as well. so that what leaves us with only venus and jupiter who arent ego based. Sun being healthy ego as well. Such a strong sence of groundidng came over me haha almost stressful, cause I usually deal in soul and higher consciouseness but it is so true that planets being objects are reflecting the incarnation, which does play by the rules of the body

jupiter + venus are personal too - ultimately all planets in your chart represent the ego - aka your human avatar, that wants to actualize the story in the chart :) the ego is not bad, just afraid most of the time because it has forgotten what it wanted to do here :)

This is an interesting take. I have south node in taurus in my 8th house/ North node scorpio in my 2nd. For some reason I can't find a concrete explanation for it anywhere. I also relate to the moon (cancer) and all the squares/oppositions to my personal planets (sun in aries squares moon, moon square ascendant, ascendant opposition sun)

The energy of the south node gets weaker as you get older so planets near it are able to escape its attraction force gradually or you could use the north node transit over your natal chart to your advantage.

That's true. It's balancing it and not going all out as I did haha! Well, the astrologers I listened to said to follow your north node. When it was in fact to simply balance the equation. And I've done both, all out north node or all out south node 😅 "not cool" lol. A very painful 12 years of my life. I am a North node 3rd Taurus (Sidereal and tropical), Aquarius Asc conj Moon Sidereal/Pisces Tropical as a Libra Venus conj Saturn 9th (Sidereal)/Scorpio 9th tropical. But I go by sidereal now a days. I was tropical and how I learned astrology. Which got me so confused to what and who I truly am 😂 ANd to clarify again, yes what you say is true. I'm living proof of doing south node all out or north node all out to find out that it's about balance. I was actually here for 27degrees North Node description.. but I guess I could pass by and check things out haha. The simplest way to say it is: North node is the hole in the astrological chart (in a sense) and to fill that is to create balance on all the charts.

I also have the north node in the first house. For a woman it can be a little challanging but thankfully we live in the 21 century. I have lots of planets around and close to the north node part of the chart, so, as Ernst Wilhelm would say, this part of the chart is active and planets are guarding the north node territory.

Whole house moves all virgo planets to 1st and leo NN to 12th... I cant see those being too complimentary with each other (Sun&NN) in either case. Moon in gemini in the 9th, so that goes element based with SN in 5th.

sun moon and rising are all part of the ego structure - I would say. the sun is more so your identity and display of your ego to the outside - whereas the moon is the deeper, more unconscious side of the ego, so how your ego is build from an intrinsic, emotional level / the emotional body.

Damn it! I have NORTH NODE in opposition to my SUN which is also in opposition to SATURN. My SOUTH NODE is conjunct SUN in PISCES in the 9TH HOUSE conjunct MIDHEAVEN (10th house) and my SATURN and NORTH NODE are both in VIRGO in the 3rd house. My Ascendant is GEMINI and Moon in Leo. So if the SUN conjunct SOUTH NODE means that I have to relinquish my basic inner needs and follow the opposite? Damn, Virgo is all about reality, practicality and routine whereas PISCES is all about reality, fantasies and artistic endeavors.

the sun is the character you play in order to evolve the ego :) its your heroes journey! you evolve into your sun sign - its the brightest light + thus the evolved ego (in the highest expression) - but when we look at the evolution of your soul, we look at the moons nodes + thus also the moon, because it is your default program / inner most core. Does that clarify it for you? :)

Interesting theory. But I have to respectfully disagree. To apply Jungian archetype to astrological principles, the Moon is the Unconscious / Subconscious. The Sun is often related to the Ego, but the Earth may more truthfully reflect that one. May I ask how you decided upon this particular hypothesis? It’s interesting, but I’m not sure if it’s very accurate. I think you have a decent grasp of the Nodes, but I’m not sure there’s any valid basis for THIS interpretation of the axis, especially rooted in this theory regarding the Moon.

Where men opperate more from their ego. So basically, the trick is to look at the Sun in men and the moon in women. But it's all pretty debabtable.
