So much to see this morning on a flying visit to North Norfolk.
Blickling house looking spectacular as was a complete double rainbow. After all the rain, the Ford in Glanford was far too deep for cars. First lot of flooding I saw was in Blakeney. The main road, totally flooded with the sea lapping against the building, apparently this is the main road through Blakeney. There should be a car park somewhere here but apart from a parked car, you would never know. Then on to Cley harbour beside the windmill. The sluice was closed so no boats can get out of Cley Harbour.. Several were waiting to make their way back to Morston Quay. Next was Cley beach . Here several photographers gathered awaiting the arrival of migrating birds. Across the Marshes .... which David Attenborough recently said were of his favourite places in the world .... is the Norfolk Wildlife Trust building, where a fabulous latte and Danish pastry were consumed. 🙈
Time goes so fast, so homeward bound we all went. Next time I’m this way I’ll walk around Cley Marshes and see if David Attenborough is correct in what he says . 🤣🤣.
