Nice. I clean the sand off em on the beach, put them in a bag and stick em in a fridge..but fillet them the next morning…never the same day. Just gives em a little bit more flavour mate.

Hi G not going to take the pee filleting fish is a bit like driving if you get my drift for your first go thought you made a good job to be fair it looked lovely 😊 if you still getting whiting when I come down in April will give you some tuition if you want it's only practice, look out tings 😂😂

I’ve been filleting them for years and with the small ones its never the easiest - best to keep only those over 30cm and fat. Gut them on the beach and give them a good wash in salt water - makes filleting cleaner and easier.

tell me! Did you gut the fish before you started to fillet? Didn't look like it,you might of found it easier. Well at least you had a go and for first effort you didn't go hungry and neither did the local gull population,plenty of leftovers. 😊

Whiting a lovelly sweet fish , better to fillet the ones over 30 cms , fish good for so keep catching.

Nice one G and the word is out so they increasing the size limit to a metre so you cant take any lol looked good. You really need a specialist filleting knife for that
