North Shore Rail Trail Review

Great video! Are you planning on revisiting the trail? Some really nice parts further East, and it's just over 10 miles each way, so you get a 20+ mile round trip. The master plan is to link the western end of the trail with the bike path along Nesconset Highway (currently under construction) which will then create a trail 35 miles long, from Lake Grove to Wading River! 70 miles round trip!!!

I have ridden pretty much the entirety of whats constructed on 347. Some areas close to the Hauppauge High School are quite dicey to say the least. But hey, something is better than nothing & I did happen to see women and children on the bike path which is a good rule of thumb for if the path is truly safe or not. I need to revisit the N Shore trail bc I didn't do the whole thing

So I’ve been thinking how KP could be connected to Commack, Hauppauge, and points south via Sag park way, and the pipeline property thru Northport and tow line rd.

I hope we do something soon and use the state parks/unused land along the SAG. It's usually quite dangerous to go from one township to another on the north shore.

That animal was a groundhog. We get them everywhere up here. I live in the area.

You still got the stock tires on ? I got the Schwalbe marathon e plus tires 45 s for city & just tried the 700 x40 Maxxis re fuse for gravel , also any plans buying the range extender for you velo ? As soon it’s available, plan to purchase it , been averaging 39-46 on some long rides but on eco mode , no head or tailwinds

Everything is still stock. & I’m probably not going to get the range extender. I’ve actually been riding more and more with the bike off lately. Stay more active and extend the range that way

I did it yesterday, way to many side streets. Plus you can't see each way for 40 streets

This one was only $300 more than my regular bike. Kinda cheap as far as e-bikes go
