My biggest fear is being surrounded by posh people. Although I belong to middle class family, my parents sent me to an expensive school where all my friends were rich, thinking that I’ll grow up in a healthy environment. Indeed, my friends didn’t smoke cigarettes, they smoked vape. They were all dumb, incompetent, childish mamma’s boys always bragging about the shiny new thing their dads had bought them. I was even made fun of because I didn’t have an AC in my room. Now as I look back, I regret the torture I inflicted on my parents to buy me the trendy bayblades, fidget spinners, playing cards, new shoes every year, iPhones and other utterly useless stuff. It’s not as cheap as some people may assume, to blend into a posh environment and live up to their standards.

Honestly, I feel lucky to have the chance to experience both universities. From my observation, the people at NSU and BRAC are quite similar in many ways. However, I’ve noticed that some BRAC students, particularly the girls, tend to be more sexually expressive compared to those at NSU. When it comes to the science departments, you might find it surprising that NSU’s science and engineering students are generally more polite and academically focused than those at BRAC. They seem to exhibit less of a posh attitude and prioritize academics more. This might be because NSU has two separate buildings: one dedicated solely to science and engineering and another for other departments. The distinct environments of these buildings create a noticeable difference in atmosphere and behavior.

One thing- NSU grading system is really tough, compared to other universities in BD. So if you hate this unnecessary pera, than please don't choose NSU (saying this as a NSU student) 😅😅

Grading systems have both positive and negative aspects. A decent CG from NSU will help you a lot in BD but if it's abroad it's quite the opposite.

Can’t agree here because Brac is more expensive than NSU and people choose NSU for it’s better performance as a business school In corporate world NSU has a good reputation and it helps their students get better jobs and same goes with Brac,East west,IUB and UIU and other top ranked private universities NSU has a very welcoming environment and their education quality is top notch I am saying this as an NSUer Even In western countries(specially US) universities are very expensive so it’s not the only case

I think we both agree on the point that NSU has top quality education. I don’t she any doubt about that. My point was different. It isn’t for everyone. Just some one can afford to pay the tuition fee, doesn’t necessarily mean they will be developed equally. Same applies for BRACU and other uni having higher tuition fees.

কোন সোর্স থেকে জানতে পারলেন NSU তে পড়তে ১৫/২০/৩০ লাখ টাকা লাগে ? NSU পার ক্রেডিট ৬৫০০ টাকা । সব department এর ক্রেডিট কাউন্ট যদি এভারেজ এ ১৩০ ও ধরি তাহলেইত ৮ লাখ ৫০ হাজার টাকার মত লাগতেছে । প্রতি বছর activity fee হিসাবে ৩০ হাজার করে নেয়া হয় তাও আবার ২/৩ সেমিস্টারে এই ৩০ হাজার টাকা নেয় । ৪ বছরে যদি ৩০ হাজার দেই তাহলে ১ লাখ ২০ হাজার আসে । আর যেসব department এর ক্রেডিট ১২০ ( যেমন Microbiology , biochemistry ) এদের খরচ আরো কম আসে ।

Bro don’t get into private uni ,You may get many opportunity but you will be trapped financially ,mentally everything. The culture exists in private is very toxic.You choose your preferred course and get with new students after 1st or 2nd semester you'll get lost in youself. There will be no friends to help you out. 1 or 2 friends might be willing to do course with you although it’s fully upon them but there will be no batchmates as public.When you get into a new semester and choose new courses(known as advising) you get with random students whom you didn’t know before they might be your Junior might be your senior but the situation gets very emberassing when someone whom you don't even know calls me 'Tui' even though you don't know him or you don't know he is my Junior or senior.I'm very much exhausted of this open credit system of private universities.Still if you have alot of money and don’t prefer RU or Subject you are studying currently,you may get into AUST where courses are fixed for each semester and you will be with same batchmates from first to last.Although ,I'll suggest stay in RU math department as it is very flexible to get into other subjects like Data Science ,Astrophysics,Quantam Computing after finishing your bachelor from Math dept.Levarage your time to skills like coding ,research ,contest,olympiads as you've mentioned the curriculum is backdated and faculties are poor.

I can talk a lot about it, but it would take hours. In short, Yes, Educational quality is extremely poor. My preference would be to stop taking in Part time faculties from public Universities and start bringing those with Industry level work experience.

Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts. It’s evident that most private universities are making money and not providing good quality education in return. I think the top universities are doing somewhat better but still they have to go a long way to become a “real” institution of scholarly practice. I will talk about these issues more in the future videos.

Your research seems to depend on the stereotypical social perspective of people who are not a stakeholder of NSU. I don't know what made you say that. NSU manei elite society noy. hae eta thik je elite society er onek students rao ekhane pore but its all about creating your network and choosing your circle. I think you missed my points. When I talk about universities, I talk for the vast majority students. And the fact is NSU is not affordable for majority. Spending premium price in NSU doesn't guarantee high quality career. But that's what everything thinks that NSU graduates are the top and graduates from other institutions are not that good. Those who enter in NSU not all of them get admission based on merit. Anyway, I know NSU academics and many of them are not happy with the administration (but that's a separate conversation). And with all these, I didnt say NSU education quality is bad and other universities (BRACU, AIUB etc) are good.

@@DrSayemHossain I don't think any university can guarantee a high-quality career unless you acquire enough skills. Of course, I believe you know that better than me. I think NSU does train students enough to face the corporate challenges initially. Your opinion for most students is valid, but your idea of an alternative, which is going abroad, is not practical. It costs way more to undergrad at a well-known university in the US/UK or Canada. And yes, the administrator problem is a different conversation, and I'm sure NSU isn't the only one.

It is known to us that BRAC is far more expensive than NSU in terms of tuition fees while faculty pool of NSU is far more stronger than BRAC. So, why are you spreading misinformation? As a former university teacher, you should maintain your credibility. I do not understand why you chose to make yourself a laughing stock. May be, you are an agent but in the long term, misinformation cannot prevail. So, better stop such non-sense.

Firstly, you lack the manner to provide criticism in a constructive way. Secondly, I have never said that Brac uni is cheaper. In my other videos I mentioned that Brac University is also expensive. You largely misunderstood the context of the video which suggests your average level of understanding. The intention was not to undermine NSU. The video speaks about the vast majority of Bangladeshi students who come from middle-class background. And whether it is feasible to study for them at expensive university like Brac University or NSU. That’s the main point. I recommend if you want to take part in a constructive discussion, provide criticism in a constructive way. By the way, I am not any agent for any university and all the continents produced in this channel are my own perception which can be largely different from others.
