a 60 year old on the podium at the NW does seem bonkers in some ways, but what a racer. If only Michael Rutter had been un there too we would have broken the 150years on the podium mark 🙂

60 lol, what a guy, the combined age of the podium was over 140 years old PMSL and if Michael Rutter had been on there we would have topped 150 :-) Hicky is just getting in the zone, i would argue that the supertwin racing is probably the best prectice you can get for the TT

Its very strange now because its been non stop raining from Sunday, I went out on the bike in the rain and seen not a single biker. Its as if everyone went home to put their bike away....even tho its spring time. Its so strange like everything went back to boring normal after the NW200. But being Northern Ireland i'm not suprised.

i know what you mean, i dont see how the V2 Ducati can sit in the same class as the little old ER6 engines. just doesnt seem right, but i guess they have to compete with Ryan Farquhar's bikes somehow 🙂

My uncle had to lie about his age to race the NW200, the Ulster and the I.o.M in the early 1970's, he was only in his early 40's,yet look at today,McWilliams(60's),McGuinness(50's),Rutter(50's),etc...worryingly, not enough young men coming through!

Gen Z people (in their early 20's now) just arn't interested in motorcycles sadly, its mostly parents negative attitude towards them and their mates getting cars first.
