It’s good to see that they are raising an assertive little girl. One of the main reasons that women don’t get promoted as often as they should is because they aren’t assertive enough. It’s partly why they tend to settle for lower pay as well. I’m sure she won’t need it for that reason, considering who her parents are, but people need to stop raising passive and overly agreeable children (boys and girls). We tend to look at white people like they are crazy when they let their kids express themselves as much as they do. But disciplining kids because they have opinions, even if they are strong ones, only makes them less confident to express them as they get older.
