North Yorkshire Moors Railway Steam Crane Demonstration at 50th Anniversary Gala

Built in 1926, thiis mammoth piece machinery can lift up to 45 tons. it was built by Cowans Sheldon of Carlisle, a world famous manufacturer of all types of cranes and railway turntables.
Arriving at the NYMR in 1980, it has been used for a multitude of lifting tasks , from Locomotive boilers to box vans, ever since.
Diese 1926 erbaute Mammutmaschine kann bis zu 45 Tonnen heben. Es wurde von Cowans Sheldon aus Carlisle gebaut, einem weltberühmten Hersteller aller Arten von Kränen und Eisenbahndrehscheiben.
Seit seiner Ankunft im NYMR im Jahr 1980 wird es seitdem für eine Vielzahl von Hebeaufgaben eingesetzt, von Lokomotivkesseln bis hin zu Kastenwagen.
