Thank you. Used to live there until I was 12 in 1989. I haven't been back there since. My mother and I used to walk from 19 East Paddock Court in Lings to Western Favell to do our weekly shop. Fond memories. It's surreal seeing this footage. Childhood nostalgia is strong here.

I was 19 turning 20 in 1993. This was the year I left. We use to spend a lot of time waiting for buses at Weston Favell and hanging around in the Grosvenor Centre. I can't say I miss any of it, but this video takes me right back. The sounds, the prim old ladies, the teens with curtain haircuts!

Same! Nostalgia hit, but probably not as good as we remember it.

@@gabrielwalker421 I don’t agree with this comment however multiculturalism hasn’t worked. You can’t just bring the poor uneducated without significant support to re-educate and push society up. We should be holding each other to high standards. It’s pathetic. We shouldn’t be rolling over like this

I was 12 when my parents moved aboard. That was 1989. I recall sitting at the front on the first deck and remember all the squeaking lol. Lots of plastic parts squeaking every time the bus went over a bump in the road.

There isn't much online. I lived in Lings.I was 12 when I left Northampton in 1989. I now live in New Zealand. Haven't been back since. This is surreal. So much nostalgia. Loved this video...took me back to Western Favell - lots of memories. I must make a point of returning.

@justinjennings9840 it must be strange for you yes after all this time and however many thousands of miles distance you are from here now .... I have been searching for as many photos and vids of old northampton as I can find ... ive found a few things and I'm gonna try and make a few nostalgic videos out of what if what ive found .... you should come back and visit .. but it has changed alot over the years and not for the better

I'll follow you if you can post a link or reference. Do you live in Northampton still? I often considered commissioning someone to take footage of where I grew up - a walk round if there were such an opportunity. I just can't see myself ever returning. Google street view is not the same. My mother lives in Ireland so perhaps an opportunity when I visit next. @@TheManWithNoName.
