Northampton voted one of America's best small cities

I lived there for 8 months in 2003/04 and I absolutely HATED IT there! I didn't even blink when I left and I can give many, many reasons for this but probably not on here!

I lived in Northampton for awhile after I graduated from Hampshire College in nearby Amherst, back in 1998-1999, and it was a VERY PLEASANT place to live. A small city to be sure, BUT a nice place to live overall. Very culturally rich and diverse for such a small college town.
