Mr T Haokip talked very sensible. He mentioned facts and showed himself that he is a respectable person. Nagas and Kukis really need to come to an understanding to unitedly work for the equal benefits and goodness of the hill people. Mr Mao presented his points very well. Dr Noni is very knowledgeable, accommodating and shown the heart for equal benefits for both hill and valley people. However, the last point about being apprehensive of losing territorial integrity seems to be just a ground to stand in the way of hill people's struggle for more autonomy. Mr Athuan's points are not understandable and there's nothing appreciable. Mr Khuraizam's way of dealing with issues won't work. He may sound good to the ears of our meitei brothers but kukis and nagas won't be happy.

All these panelist needs to address the difference between ethnocentric based politics and class based politics. The claimed that one particular community is advanced community is clearly null and void, you need to see the issues from a class perspective, which every fkng one of u failed to see, every community be it naga , kuki, meitei have different class of people based on their economic privilege. Those in the elite section/ group plays the sentiments of the lower groups using the ethnocentric card which is very much a poision among the various ethnic groups. Ethnic aspirations will continue to exist until these ethnic people got their own nation. Meitei or Kanglei people tried their best political and cultural effort to make united these ethnic peoples. More or less they succeeded the process until King Charairongba. At least they could unified about 44 ethnic communities eg. Mangang, Luwang, Khuman, Khaba, Nganba, Chenglei, Leishangthem, etc.etc.under the Meitei or Kanglei ethnonym. But after Pamheiba ( son of Charairongba) adopts Ramandi ( a sect of Hindu ) , it could not continued the nation making process. On the other hand , the nation making process has continue among the ethnic peoples like Simte, Gangte, Zomi, Zou, Thadou, etc. etc under the nomenclature as Kuki. And also, the Luhuppa ( the Tangkhuls ) led to make unified the other ethnic peoples like Maring, Anal. Moyon, Monsang, Mao, Maram etc etc under the nomenclature of Naga. A Luhuppa or a Thadou must not denied the historical fact that once the Kangleipak suzerainty was extended upto the eastern bank of Ningthi or Chindwin River. On the other hand a Meitei must not deny the fact that a Luhuppa or a Thadou has its own Federal Republic .

So ,the problem lies with denials about the truth and the facts where nation building process was led astray with vested interests and political gains or for other reasons well known , regarding more no. of representatives in assembly is not according to the whims and fancies of a particular community or race but it's the constitution , the idea of oneness or Manipur for instance doesn't mean we r or u r ruled by a particular community or race or under them or him but the idea of oneness existed which crucified the narrow lines of ethnic and communal based evils ......, conflicts ,clashes between communities increases in no. Hill MLAs and Hill Area committee are responsible for the past many years for backwardness of the hills in Manipur and the same fact is commonly known to both Nagas n Kukis.

State planning board and CMO headed by CM plays a crucial role in positioning the schemes and various plans mostly enunciated by the central govt . Hill MLA who are minister in their resp. Department are merely executioner of the development plans.The state planning board/CMO mostly positioned the developmental plans in valley.Which mean that all money is pumped into valley by way of labours payment, emplotment generation etc.For example, Irrigation project was implemented in toto in valley while the same wasnot implemented in hilly area where hill suited irrigation typo could have been taken up.

@@rng9765 Keep on day-dreaming bro. I have never heard large-scale irrigation projects in hills. It is against basic principles of physics. To lift large amounts of water to great heights requires lot of energy and is not economically viable. Which hill area in manipur has enough acreage for a medium size irrigation project? I know only few - khoupum, khuga etc. But that already has irrigation projects in place. These projects are executed with loans which need to be repaid. Only tax payer money can repay it. There is no income taxation in hill areas so no banks will provide loan. And you cannot even mortgage your land because it is not even in proper records. No financial institution follows some oral records and legal setup dictated by village chiefs. They follow only constitutional law and no tribal law.

@@rng9765 Sorry your knowledge is very limited. Go to Asian development bank, World bank sites and check for projects in NE. Asian highway and many other projects are funded by these banks. They are not charity houses printing money and disbursing money but they are banks lending out money. Govt. implements viable projects. You search for history of Manipur rail connection. Feasibility study was started and detailed plan was prepared way back in 70s and work started in 2000s. Reason for not taking up the project - not economically viable and there won't be return on investment. That is how it works. Govt. projects are not started by just printing money. And regarding development projects in areas that you mentioned check with your ADC representatives. People with UNIQUE HISTORY want local governance, local laws and their own way of doing things. Only when they want free handouts they seem to remember govt.

The hills were independent ruled by their own chiefs. Nagas and kukis existed before this so called state Manipur. Therefore they happened to be included in the state of Manipur that's it. They are not Manipuris and will never be This will never change be it in 21st or 100 th century. Next in the present context Just because you can't control your own population doesn't mean you can own their lands. We never ask for your lands-you can create your own KANGLEIPAK in the valleys for all we care. There is not enough space to live in the valley but plenty to build major offices and institutions. So when a vote is taken there is no chance for the hills to win the vote in the assembly. And again by 45 and 55 percent logic on the population, the hills should get 27 MLAs which now the hills have only 20 MLAs and the valley with 55 percent should have only 33 MLAs have 40 MLAs. And if all MLAs were to get 10 crores each , Thangmeiband AC with just 20k to25K population and an area of few sq km is very easy to maintain while the hill MLAs would maintain 45k to 60k population and 7 to 8 times the size of a valley AC

On January 20, armed cadres of the NSCN-Isak Muivah faction abducted Enoch and tortured him for daring to file an RTI in the matter. They kept him locked up for around 10 days at some unknown location and pressured him with death threats to withdraw the RTI.

There was no terminology call Naga before British invasion, It was a British colonial construct. For instance before the colonial influence, the various tribes in the region fight among themselves. And head hunting was one prominent way of showing the pride of the conquistador during those days. Afterall the idea of "naga nation" is a result of the British colonial construct which is very much biased and divisive among the NE region of present day India which further polarised the already highly ethnocentric communities in the region. This colonial legacy adopted by some particular groups in the region plays a keys role for further disintegration /dissolution or division of various ethnic groups which leads to greater turmoil in the region.

And as a former PWD minister you know that there exists a Tribal Sub-Plan in the planning documents of the state and also that all contract works in the Naga areas were only given to the Nagas.” He laughed and said, “If we don’t blame the Meiteis for our plight what else can we tell them while asking for votes.”

There are many non-meitei and also non-tribal communities. E.g. manipuri nepali > 90000 population etc. Why you didn't count that. Also hill districts have ADC setup. Look at CCPUR district. It has 24 elected ADC representatives. They are paid salary using tax payer money. Sometimes you want your UNIQUE HISTORY setup and sometimes you want general community setup when it suits you. You cannot have both. Choose one wisely. Also modi govt wants a unified system for whole country (not plethora of mumbo jumbo in every nook and corner). He started with GST (unified tax law), 370 abbrogation, NRC, CAA etc. Soon there will be uniform laws and administrative setup for whole country.

The question of any big project in the hill from mr Haokip came like a havoc.there is outmost silent for a while untill the our respected anchor give a wake-up call.and in case if there is any, I don't think that person to ans will have the slightest hesitancy to point it out. but the irony is that the big question have been deflected to Delhi metro after a serious thought from that limited time.i don't think this deflecting attitude will serve any good.i think it's time for some people to admit and accept the reality.because manipur is a very clear picture where it vividly display the gap of infrastructure development between the valley and hills. the hill areas of the so call sanalaibak lack so many basic infrastructure.no police station for several km radius,disfunctional phc,govt school,higher secondary,colleges concentration almost negligible as compare to the valley area.,no banking service,basic water supply,irrigation,connectivity and what not? for instance one will even start to doubt the existence of governance in some part of this areas.just visit and see for yourself. this could be a hint why mr mao stress on the issue that unless the lopsided distribution of seat in the SLA and rational distribution of development is taken up, the tribal population may keep nursing their grievances.to my opinion this discontentment has lead to the present scenario of so many ethnocentric movement out of this small boiling pot called Manipur.all this culminating to a state of breaking off anytime feasible.and that no force will be able to stop if any people dislike the condition imposed on him..history has it's proof,apartheid in africa,abolishing of slavery in America,laws against casteism in india,against colonialism, thy are all victorious. therefore men will eventually move out of the condition he dislike and time will give ways. All must start from the same point like having each and every language in the 8th schedule Sharing all MLAs to 20 each , Meitei should have 20 Kuki should have 20 and Naga shoulf have 20 MLAs each. And the capital should be shifted somewhere in the hills then infrastructure and economy would thrive in the hills Hospitals like JNIMS and RIMS and even NSU should be alloted one each to the major commuties inhabited areas And even if this is applicable even mainlanders should be allowed to buy land and live among us to show that we are all accepting and welcoming
