Living in the North Georgia Mountains, Alabama and the Barber Museum & Race Track in Leeds are destinations we visit quite often. A great state with a fine motto, Audemus jura nostra defendere - "We Dare Defend Our Rights".

Good to see that it has modernized a bit. I did construction in Huntsville AL during the late 1980's and many of the roads were dirt or very poor asphalt. I remember cruising coming back from meeting friends in TN on a nicely paved road and crossing the state line into Al. The pavement suddenly stopped replaced by a one lane dirt road with a dubious base. My street tires were a bit rebellious for the first 50 feet or so. It was like I had time warped back into the 1800's. Old log houses, men on their porches sporting shot guns, people in wagons. All of them looking at the guy on a shiny motorcycle. We only had compasses and paper maps back then too. It was an interesting day and ride. I have subscribed as I am also a magazine subscriber. You guys are the National Geographic of Motorcycle magazines.

I'm from bama and it's awesome riding if you like the bultaco so much go to Barber vintage day's in October and you'll see a few racing and for sale if you like anything about motorcycles Barber vintage day's is the place to be, you won't regret going

I live in Huntsville so am familiar with the roads here. I also subscribe to RoadRunner; great magazine. A good ride is on US 65 (Francisco Road in AL). From Huntsville I can do the Dragon and Cherohala loop in a 520 mile day or the Lynchburg in a 160 mile loop. Little River Canyon is excellent as are the roads going into Lake Gundersville area.
