Northern California | Return to US and Celebrations

I went to the US for a few days, only spent time in Norcal which was good because in all my 4 years of college in California, I had not visited the Northern part.
We celebrated my mom's birthday there, went from a cute Winery in the day to an extra ordinary restaurant at night.
I spent some time at Stanford where my dad was giving a talk. I also did a little hike with my mom as we saw the Redwood trees there.

My neck of the woods. BTW, in the multiple decades that I've lived here in SF no immigration officer has ever been rude. (I have faced the worst behaviour in UK) What do you think triggered them?
