What I love is the way you identify the hook/yarn placement with a darning needle I wish more teachers would do this especially for beginners or for stiches too small or too dark to see. This is a very pretty granny square. I also love the curved scissors!

This CAL has been on the back of my mind as I’ve been hooking like a mad woman working my way thru so many of your other tutorials for 6 months! Also now a huge fan of ICE yarns. I’ve tried using local shop yarn...not completely happy with selections and color ways and once I receive my yarn order from ICE, I’m like a kid all over again receiving a gift (except I bought it) 🤣. Almost all of my projects I have used the yarn you’ve selected if it’s in stock 😬. If I can’t wait I just use a different color of same yarn. You have a brilliant eye for picking the best texture and color ways for your project. Oh, I just tried to order this yarn to make this and the teal and the light blue are sold out 😭 so I must wait for them to restock🤞🤞🤞🤞

These look wonderful and you can still see the circle perfectly clear with the grey front posts. I think because the white and grey are both light colours it still works out. As you know I was wondering if that circle would still stand out with the tiny break in the colour, but it does. They look great! 👍🏼 Now I can't wait to make this once I get the yarn for it. Eee finished my first square! I will post a pic on Instagram...but now I'm debating whether to do another square and switch color placement to see which is best haha...I really like this first one though hmmm ...anyway...loooove the tip about leaving a certain amount of yarn on each forthe sewing together later...perfect!! xx

The Secret Yarnery yup I’m using the yarn bee sugarwheel for the larksfoot blanket and so far it’s looking nice haven’t gotten far though I want to get more solid color yarns to do the granny squares I love blue expecially turquoise or aqua not sure what other color I would use

Just a quick question- how many squares do we need for this project? I have 2 packages (8 balls of each color) and 4 colors. I just don't want to make it too small or too big for the amount of yarn😊 This yarn is amazing, so super soft and the shine is gorgeous 😍

I'm doing 80 squares, for a 8 square x 10 square blanket. I just finished the center grannies and have 1.5 balls left. Should be enough for a row of the border! Not sure about the other quantities yet, but will definitely have more.🤗

Hi, Allison Syzdek!! Yes - you actually CAN. I made one with the Pastel Cotton, and then a solid color for the single crochet & overlay rows. I really liked it. Just make sure the overlay color is a contrast of ALL the colors in the self striping. xx
