What??? Ok I'm totally against Brandon on this one. If USC is 9-2 when they play them, likely ranked in the low teens, and that's their ONLY ranked win, it does not matter even slightly if they got 11-1. Notre Dame needs serious help. They need Texas A&M to go on a run, they need FSU to go on a run, they need USC to run the table, Louisville to go on a run, AND to win out. If, and I think is likely the case, none of those teams are ranked top 10, and they have 0 top 10 wins, and a MAC loss. They aren't in regardless of their record. The committee has shown, STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE MATTERS. If you don't have as many quality wins, you don't get in when you also lost to a MAC team.
