Thanks for this really unexpected vid, it couldn't have come at a worst time. Miserable UK weather here!! All I've been wanting to do for weeks is to jump on a plane home to Cape Town, dust of my Pig and hit the bush. Now I've got indigestion from too much turkey, and home sickness. Merry fkn Christmas! 😉

It's always a good day if it starts with an Osadabwa upload notification. Questions regarding the bike and camping setups, any chance that you'll do a video or Q/A session to cover both setups ? I'm always curious about what it takes to cover as much distance as you do. Also, based on the current Kenyan Market, what bike would you recommend to a beginner rider(fresh out of riding classes/training) aiming to do trips similar to yours in terms of terrain?

Yeah, not likely to do any luggage packing vids. This KZbin thing is for fun and that sounds like work to me! I ain't getting paid! Check out Adam Riemann. He rides a T7 and did one video talking about his luggage setup that was basically exactly like ours. Bike setup is bike specific, so no sense doing much there. My XR650R has had every possible modification... better carb, different cam, open exhaust, full suspension rebuild. Of all of those things, the only one that matters at all is suspension. Beginner bikes are hard to find. Obviously I'd say lighter is better. The big fella in our vids on the T7 has finished the Roof of Africa hard enduro twice and look how he struggles with that big thing. Honestly in Kenya I guess I'd say go for a Kibo. I would die of boredom on one, but they're solid and proven. Guys have gone everywhere on them. If you could import from South Africa, I'd say get a Honda CRF 250 or 300. Again because they're light and proven. Good luck!

brilliant video! a map could be a nice addition

I tried to include one just now but couldn't get it to work. Anyway, place names + Google Maps = more than I had when I arrived in Kenya. Check the ride report link in the description to give you more details. (I really did try to include a map to no avail, but after almost 2 days of video editing, writing and uploading, I'm done.)

Love the Riemann rip-off😂

He's too funny. As soon as a T7 ended up in our midst, we started calling it the "Daaaark Horse" and "Big Giiiirl" etc. Even call each other Rodney now and then! We don't ride as well as he does, but we laugh more!

Hello Osadabwa! Great content you got there. I think all this channel needs is a little push to get things moving. I can help with that. My info is on this very channel I'm using to comment.

Epic trip 🎉. Any chance you could share the tracks or the general route direction?
@OsadabwaMoto9 күн бұрын
I put place names all through both the video and the ride report. Shouldn't take too much digging to figure out how we got there. I'm not comfortable to share tracks directly with people I don't know. The terrain is often harder than it looks on videos and I don't want to send anyone in over their heads. I found all these tracks using Google Earth and taking time to plan based on what we're capable of. Glad it's got you interested though!

Great. I saw the full blog post, yeah the town/village names are sufficient. Merry Christmas 🎄
