Thank you for the very objective review! I'll be in Tromso in 5-6 weeks' time, I'll definitely love to book a tour with Tromsø Friluftssenter!

Great video of your experience. We are thinking of either visiting Reykjavik or Tromso just to see the Northern lights. Now cold was it in Tromso around December 18th to 20th? So we need to bring snow gear? We live in San Francisco so the temperature doesn't go below 40 F. That's already cold for us.

Normally there is snow and it’s around -10 degrees Celsius (14F I think), but every year is different..I went last year mid March and there was no snow, this year they have 1 m snow.. so it depends 😅 but it is going to be cold for sure so snow gear is ok! Make sure you bring wool base layers !

@@Italianabroad Thank you for the quick response. In that case, I think I'll try out Reykjavik cheat and if I don't see any Northern lights there, I'll go to Tromso next trip

Hi bril video thank you. With Trina do you just go to one location in her garden? Do you not travel to other areas?
@Italianabroad10 ай бұрын
If the conditions are good where she lives, then you stay there. If the sky there is not clear, then she travels to other areas. But the area she lives in is very nice and has a private beach.

Thanks for a great video, we're thinking of travelling in Dec to Tromso, this video really helps! If we book Tromsø Friluftssenter tour, which doesn't include proper dinner, how do you have your meal there, are there any local food vendors or the marshmallows/hot chocolate/cake were enough to survive the night?
@Italianabroad Жыл бұрын
Well, we ate before, I don’t remember the tour starting that early.. and the snacks are not enough to skip dinner !

@@Italianabroad Yeah, that's what I thought! Thanks for the heads up :)

Many of my friends advised me to book tours on multiple days. Is it really necessary to book it or booking longer duration tour for a day is sufficient?? Kindly recommend
@Italianabroad5 ай бұрын
Well, the more you book, the more chances you have but also the more expensive it is… and it is not something you can predict so you can never say what is best to do.

Thank you for such a informative video. Can you please tell me the name of this location where you saw the northern lights? And if possible then a couple of locations to where i can drive nearby Tromso to see the northern lights. Thanks in advance.
@Italianabroad Жыл бұрын
Hi, it was organized by Tromsø Friluftssenter so I don’t know the names of the locations. We didn’t drive by ourselves there.

Thank you for sharing! Does the Trina tour provide proper clothes for the night or do we need to rent this in advance?
@Italianabroad Жыл бұрын
Trine provides a thermal suit, but you should have proper clothes underneath already.
