I was at the beach earlier this week and this one mockingbird would come and sing next to the dune crossing every morning. I didn’t realize it was a mockingbird until it randomly started quacking! It also imitated a sparrow, cardinal, blue jay, seagull, and more, and even a car alarm at one point! These birds are so amazingly talented

In a neighborhood I often walked through at night, there was 1 particular mockingbird that stood out above the rest. There were many throughout, but this 1 bird was the star: it'd sit in the same tree nearly every night, in the dead center of the neighborhood, and just belt it. I mean _really_ sing; full power, proudly, with unique flow & refined talent. This thing would drop beats like you wouldn't believe, to the point that it must have been heavily exposed to music somewhere. Usually these birds just make a sound, stall a bit then think of what to do next, but This bird would chain all the beats & little intricacies together in genuine progressions, flawlessly all the while. It was always genuinely inspiring to me, the deep & natural understanding an animal can have for music. Animals are always teaching, we must listen.

Beautiful 😍. I just saw two of these birds while I was eating lunch on my backyard patio. One flew behind the other. Then, the first chased behind the second, as if they were courting or being playful. I searched their description, and my state's website immediately identified their species as the Northern Mockingbird. I was astonished that they can imitate and know (or remember) over 200 songs; and will sometimes sing all night long. The last time I was outside, I saw two beautiful white birds flying perfectly in sync 🕊 🕊 back in 2020. Holy Spirit I hear you loud and clear!!! Amen!

10:21 the mourning dove take off was dead on. You can actually hear the sound of the wings flapping. Lol, that was great. I have one of these birds here. Just about 5 min ago, he was making all kinds of noise at my front door (as he does everyday). I've noticed that one sound he does seems to be a cat. There's a cat that stops by my house everyday and has been for years. When the cat is here, the bird sometimes props himself up in a tree (above the cat) and makes this cat cry sound. It sounds so funny. Sometimes the cat looks up at the bird like "da fuk did you say??" Lol. It's funny because the bird really does sound like that cat. It's amazing to hear all the different sounds they make. Really cool birds to have in your yard.

@@yoimesmith6226 it's funny that 3 years later another generation of mockingbirds are still here. Now, they've seemed to picked up some different sounds too. I've noticed them mimicking a barking dog. Kind of sounds like one of those small yippie dogs. The same cat still comes over my house everyday and recently I've heard two of the mockingbirds barking at the cat. It sounds like a little "woof , woof". I just find it funny to hear a bird (seemingly) barking at a cat. 😆. It might just be a coincidence or maybe they've actually learned that some dogs bark at cats. So they might actually be doing this to try and scare the cat away. Unfortunately for the mockingbirds, the cat is completely unfazed by these threats. 😄

I told my wife about it and got the expected "Oh, we'll have to get them out and the chimney will have to be repaired and..." until I took her downstairs to listen. Once she heard them sing all the talk about making them leave was over.

I went out to see. I was my friend,at the porch door. It flew to the fence and turned left dancing, louder hanging, low and behold little ones flew fast to the fence, they all stopped dancing .the parent flew of the fence and the followed ,singing. they flew from one end to the other 5 times. showed me it was more then the food that attracted the bird.
