So I mainly fish for bass, but my club had a pike/Muskie tourney last month. I’ve never specifically targeted either. I watched all of these videos, and freakin’ WON. Nice way to cap off the year up here in MN. Big thanks to you bro!

Greetings from Poland. Thanks to your advice, I caught my biggest pike. 107 cm and 9 kg in weight. Great channel, great knowledge, it's a shame so few people use it. I am certainly grateful. All the best.

I found your clip 10 yrs later. I'm a Swedish pike fisherman, and you're so spot on. I'm not a dead bait, nor live bait fan, like my hard baits but must admit the hard baits bring followers in close to, or u der the the boat. One may not always see them but they follow and park at the bottom. Having a live baits just under the boat at 15 ft or a feet off the bottom can be extremely effective.

Just thought I’d let you know how one of your lessons helped me. Mid afternoon, outside a bay where I never would have concentrated your efforts, pulling a 2.5 inch gulp on a jig. Caught a 15.2lb pike, a personal best. Obviously she must have stuffed herself in the morning but she was willing to take a slow moving morsel. One picture and she went back to be caught again. Thanks for these videos. Hope you’re well!!!!

Imagine a lake that is 926 ft deep with no shallows and very small. A natural spring lake full of big pike that no body ever catches. What would you do in this situation? How deep do you think they go and how should you fish for them? I have this problem here in Michigan. Tiny lake super deep, no shallows. Only a fishing dock to fish from.

I didn’t see a break in negative temperatures until March then in a matter of a couple weeks it was 50+ then deep back in the negatives it’s been a weird year in Alaska. Also pike are delicious and I’m so happy they’re invasive here and killing trophy fish is applauded.

Excellent fisherman with this one simple comment and I paraphrase "I don't fish deadbait, I don't like it they tend to swallow it and ... I want to release my fish alive".

Its a cold June, water temp in CDA is about 53 or 54 degrees...do you think the Pike are still shallow...or hanging on edge and coming in during the day?

If you can find water deeper than 25ft in winter, with panfish or walleye anglers on it, youve found most of the big pike. In waters that deepn most of the catch and release fish die of barotrauma and die just under the ice. Those biggest pike in that part of the system key in on that. If youre 28ft of water with ppl all around, set a 10" or better dead bait about a foot under the ice on a tip up. Youll be shocked how many large fish you catch. In a basin, the underside of the ice is the dominant structure, and where the easier to get larger meals are. They know that. Too bad more folks cant be convinced on how well it works. If you try it onen i can promise youll try it again.

Can someone explain me. Why south part of bay becomes warm up the faster? 🤯
@FishNFoolLures5 жыл бұрын
It doesn't, the North side warms up faster due to the low angle ot the sun in the winter ther North side of the bay gets more light.
