I’m genuinely sure that pease pudding is really hard to find daaann sauf. Whenever my family from the south come to see us in the North East, they take tons of pease pudding back with them because it’s either not available, or really expensive 😢

Somewhere up north on the way to Birmingham we stopped at a petrol station and they had pancakes what weren’t pancakes and then they put a fried breakfast in it and I was in my fourties and it was the first time I had seen them but they wouldn’t sell me one and I nearly had to fight them because they don’t like Londoners I am not lying

Aye guess it's cause I'm from Midlands so heard of most of the stuff but I'm sure it's all available up and down the UK. Eccles cakes are things that are made near Manchester there like flat mince pies but im not sure there popular. Yeah I've no idea what a pease pudding is either I couldn't even tell you what goes in it haha

About 10 hours difference in England and from the most southern part of the UK to the most northern probably round about 24 hours+ as you need a boat to get to the most northern part

I remember that pease pudding rhyme from when I was a kid and I never knew what it meant, we just said it doing some game like patty cake or something. It's been forever since I heard it and now I know what it is!! I'm from the US and never went to the UK and all my family is from here as well so I have no idea where we learned that saying. We didn't have kids shows pulled over from there like they do now with Peppa Pig and Banana's in Pajamas. That was quite an interesting surprise. Thanks!

I lived man & boy, some 40 years in Plymouth, worked all over Devon & Cornwall. Nobody I ever known eats Ginsters, even the ones that worked in the factory. Local bakery or an old mum's kitchen is where the best pasties are to be found.

OH MY GOD! I grew up thinking that song was only exclusive to the southern United States. I grew up singing it differently, the way we say over here is peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in a pot nine days old. I never knew that! 🤯😳
