The last stage through Asturias is marked by a somewhat damp start due to the small amount of rainfall in the morning.
The sites of San Pelayo, Valdepares and El Franco lead us towards the basin of the Porcía River, which we cross over an old bridge and then go up the opposite bank until we reach Campos and Salave.
The countryside offers us views of the Cantabrico sea until we reach Tapia de Casariego, which welcomes us with its Playa de Represas beach. We will spend some time in this beautiful town to visit the Plaza de España, the Church of San Esteban, the Port and the promenade to its surf beaches.
After leaving Tapia behind, we tackle the last kilometres of the coastline that will take us to Vilamil and Santa Gadea, where the festivities in honour of its patron saint set the rhythm for several kilometres around.
Here we will enjoy the spectacular Peñarronda Beach.
We will go along this sandy area until we go up the cliffs and finally head towards the Ribadeo Estuary, the border between Asturias and Galicia, which we will cross over the Bridge of the Saints to reach our goal for today, Ribadeo.
