In truth the "right to film" only exists on public rights of way - streets, roads, paths, footways etc. We don't have a right to film, (or even "be") on any private property with permissive access. Almost all current UK auditors think that filming not being illegal, equates to them having a right. They don't even know the difference.

You might benefit from studying ICO document Data Protection and Journalism Code of Practice which details fair use of data harvested in public through citizen journalism. Did you know one of the most famous Citizen Journalists ever was Abraham Zaprudha who took a 26 second cine film recording of the assassination of President John F Kennedy in 1963. He went on to sell the footage for $150,000. A lot of financial gain you would agree especially for that time. So he was never a professional journalist, simply a Citizen Journalist yet made enough money to retire. I think you would find it hard to argue that Northern Audits is a professional journalist based on the Vlog type random content on his channel, so would clearly be defined as a Citizen Journalist much like Abraham Zaprudha. The fact any financial gain might be gained is irrelevant to the fact of being a Citizen Journalist and is purely a matter for HMRC tax declarations. Nothing else. Hope that helps. I'm sure it will. @@stevesvids Nope, I’m afraid you are retro fitting a solution to suit by citing a somewhat unrelated precedent. The vast majority of auditor (a term which in and of itself is a misnomer of epic proportion) would fail the “in the public interest test” in a court of law . Instead what is extremely clear is that they set out to capture footage, quite often infringing upon both privacy and intellectual property of their subjects for the sole purpose of financial gain via YT. Mr Zaprudha’s case was entirely different and the outcome of his activities that day not the purpose. I enjoy trawling these comments for the sole reason that it’s as amusing to see which of the content producer or the slavishly devoted follower is suffering the worst case of Dunning Kruger. Thanks for helping out in that regard :)

Newmarket House is the "top secret" headquarters for the Council waste operations. Opened May 2022 with 120 frontline staff and 130 operations vehicles (disguised as garbage trucks). Design by HBS and Kier Construction at a cost of L 8 million. Gate Teletubby's "top secret" private site details are readily available to the public. The 2020 planning documents include reports, site and floor plans. Kier Construction posted a time lapse of the building construction. G&B Building Services has pics of the electrical work including the 63 kWh rooftop solar pv. Flexiform showcases the office furnishings, workstations and lockers with interior pics of the facility. Site was a vacant concrete hardstand in 2019 and aerial early 2022 nearing end of construction. Northern Audits provides a great update of the "top secret" facility since it opened. It amazes me how many people assert things to be 'not allowed' by law, with no knowledge of the law at all. The double standard they invoke about identifying or answering questions makes them look stupid and the confidence they have in that ignorance is astounding. It's all emotional and they've probably spent years believing they are right because it's a policy employees abide by and the only photographers they have encountered have been press or contractors for their company. Remember! In the UK, you don't control the taking of your image or images of your property in or from a public place (with a few exceptions). You do have some limited rights related to how people use that image, but you can't assert those as a pre-emptive measure to prevent a picture being taken.

Who the hell do these tyrants think they are spouting bullshit and making demands and threats when they have no lawful authority. He thinks that he has more authority than the CAA who regulate the airspace. If he does ring 999 then he is not reporting an Emergency and is therefore wasting police time.
