If he is 26, it makes sense why people would say "no you're not Gen Z" and "No you're not a Millenial". 26-27 is born in 1996/97, which is right on the cusp between the two. They've had access to the internet from a young age, but social media wasn't a big until middle school. KZbin existed, but it wasn't COMPLETE brainrot or "ipad kid" levels. Smartphones existed, but a kid with a smartphone was like an upper echelon, instead of that being the default.
