We HAVE been working hard to convince you spike shield is not the right choice over Boomerang. I've beaten level 4 with 2 upgraded boomerangs and a 6 generator, 24 damage per turn with fury one every two. Someday you'll see the light.

@@150booyadragon If you fury it, it doesn't hit you for 12? I can't imagine how that would be intended behavior. I'll admit in general it has good synergy with the upgraded boxing gloves that NL went for this run, but in general I still find it incredibly incredibly situational. In either case, I think you're failing to consider that NL is destroying most enemies in around 2 turns even without it, while also taking so little damage from armor and that he can always just fury the 6 damage 2 poison for 16 / 19 damage, 18 / 21 upgraded over 2 turns anyways without hurting himself, why take extra damage?

@@syren6371 Upgraded only does 3 damage to you no matter what. You grab it and use it sparingly till the first upgrade which is never that far away. He'd be destroying ALL enemies in a few turns if he didn't waste dice doing minimal damage.

Damn that was a good run. I thought you should have replaced a slot with some sort of dice manipulation so that you could get boxing gloves to work more reliably, but I guess I kind of underestimate the combat reroll.

Nah, having consistent dice manipulation is still good. Combat roll is wildly inconsistent, not to mention it can reroll into the same roll

The innate doesn't go away. At 18:00 you can see the paper knight become a bear as they die, and the innate chages from "Paper Knight is weak to fire" to "Bear is weak to fire" In other words, only the name of the enemy changes.
