Hey NL, I'm one of those kinds who drops in and out depending on the content and/or what feels right. Loved your Souls coverage (still do) and whenever you're doing games with unity that have a combination of great banter and higher paced game play. But I really think it's great when unity covers a variety of stuff, because then everything feels fresh. I might hit the snooze button myself here and there for some games, but if you're trying out new stuff the more likely you are to find a game where you all can just enjoy the ride and that seems to be the sweet spot for banter or great team moments. And that's really all I can ask of you. Easier said than done of course, because the unity members are all going to prioritize games differently based on their own skill, but if it's clear everyone's having a good time nobody here in the comments is going to want that to end either.

Northerlion, you boomer, the mid2000s had some of the greatest banger anime of all time, aka gurren lagann and code geass. Other anime worthy of note: Clannad, Stein;s gate, FMA brotherhood, Eureka 7, Ghost in the Shell, Death Note, Bakemonogatari, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Monster, and Toradora. In a lot of ways, it was actually a golden age of anime that a lot of modern shows try to replicate.

For the record, if you know enough on Horror movies to have opinions on the meaning about Midsommar and whether it is better than Hereditary, you need to see "The Dead Don't Die". The reason so many people hate it is, because it is an INSANELY meta send-up of the Romero era of horror and its pitfalls. A lot of the shots, Intercontextuality, and references go over most viewers heads, but if you're moderately familiar with the history of horror and the genre, the movie is an absolute gut buster comedy. Almost every major complaint about the film (the stilted melodramatic acting, the plotholes, the hand-waiving, the logic gaps, the WTF twists, and the heavy-handed morality lessons) are all intentional. I'll be honest, I don't know how people can listen to Tom Waites give a speech about how the Nintendo Gameboy was the downfall of modern society and not realize the entire movie was SOLELY satire.

yo, mushrooms are fun, guy. But really, there's a lot you can do to make some foods more palatable; like roasting or seasoning. My grocery store sent me a little recipe book for roasting vegetables, one of them is spaghetti squash, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and kielbasa that's pretty good. Has both vegetable content as well as fungus. It's pretty good.

The anime rant is why I almost quit watching anime. The fandom is toxic, even my friends when talking about anime get toxic and I like to think they have level heads but if you say “yea I’m watching the dub tho so I can have it going in the background” they almost have an aneurysm. I decided to indulge my nostalgia and watch the Digimon Adventure reboot and said it was actually pretty good and I thought I was going to get burned at the stake and almost just stopped right then and there. Now, I’m just watching it and enjoying it for myself and ignoring the community. I’m watching Digimon and Legend of the Galactic Heroes in peace and probably not much else.
