A couple of tips on how to use Morselmaker: It's usually more effective in the backline to create morsels than in the frontline as a tank (which is why it summons morsels in front of it instead of behind.) The morsels it summons ignore the capacity limit, so you can use it to overstack floors if you place it carefully Thanks for keeping us all entertained in these times, Northernlion!

WizardofWestmarch It took him 3 episodes or so to realize capacity was a thing and he could put more than 2 units on the same floor so he might not. Right now he just seems to move too fast to really stop and understand Morsel/Gorge units at all. Those Morselmakers with that Gorger (or Gorge Eater) or whatever it’s called is an instant win that early. And he skipped it while misplaying the Morselmaker all 40 minutes. 🤷🏼‍♂️ He’ll figure it all out in time though. That’s half the fun of watching him.

Love this series! A tactic I've seen for the Morsel maker is to put them at the back on the top floor, then stick either tank of heavy hitter at the front. Then by the time enemies get to the top they're cleaned up. more pogs pls

You can actually summon Morsel Makers on a floor even if you only have capacity for 1 small unit. The morsels will still spawn on the floor and be eaten, even if over capacity. Makes buffing one big unit super easy. Utterly pogged for new content!

I just had the most brokenly OP run I've ever had, and I need to tell someone. First, I started with Thornfruit (+1 Sting card per turn), and found a Channelheart (+20SP to all Stings), so 3 turns in I was casting multiple 22 damage, +1 draw next turn Stings and drawing 8+ cards a turn. Second, early on I upgraded an Animus of Will to 28x3/48, got the duplicate portal to clone them 5x, found 2 Channelsongs and then duped them for 4 total. That gave me 4 48x3/68 multistrike units. Third, I got an Unleash the Wildwood (full heal card) and then added permafrost and holdover to it, so every turn I could full heal all units on a floor. Forth, I ran every trial and used my ridiculous gold to purge almost every other card and all other units. No enemy or boss lasted past the first floor. Here's an interaction i noticed on my playthrough: if you give a morsel that rage +emberdrain, they get gorged before the emberdrain hurts you. it is also nice to play on relentless bosses, because the embersrain wont effect you. @@gray007nl Well, some of the emberdrain buffs are just incredibly powerful buffs with the drain on as a drawback. Furnace Tap is the best single buff, hands down. There's a reason why the Hellhorned tome costs 5, giving multistrike is stupid strong.

Also with enough ember drain cards in your deck the ember you get every turn is actually worthless. If you're playing 4 energy morsels a turn that's already 4 mana regardless of energy drain.

Hey NL, enjoying the series and playing the game myself, I never would have even looked at the game without seeing you check it out As a small tip if you have not picked this up yet but Umbra cards with Emberdrain like Perils of Production can be used on a morsel (or any unit guaranteed to die) so you can get the 2 mana ramp, your morsel does a bit more damage, and you don’t have to deal with the Emberdrain since it’s a unit debuff that takes affect at the beginning of the next turn but since your morsel dies it doesn’t matter.

While the morsel maker can pump itself pretty nicely, an amazing combo is putting the lifesteal or the damage shield unit (that proc via gorge) in front. Throw those puppies onto the third floor and by the time the boss comes around they'll be pogging out of control and soaring through low orbit, ready to crash down on the fool who dares challenge them.

Morselmaker doesn't have to be a self-buffer. If you put him behind a bigger unit he'll buff that instead. The best thing about him is that he only takes up one slot himself, so he's very easy to squeeze into a room. Even if the room is at max capacity, he'll still spawn his morsels.

Do you have a morsel that will give you +1 energy in a deck that doesn't need a lot of energy? Then congratulations! Morsels and Imps are more effective used as meat shields and sacrifices then units you protect in the back :D

7:59 I feel like everyone including me makes this mistake once, but Buffs and Enhancements are two different things, and you can never remove Sweep from an enemy with Buff removal. Buffs are things that have green icons and are usually granted by cards/effects like Rage, Regen, and Spikes. Enhancements have yellow icons and usually represent things that are part of the unit like Sweep, Multiattack, and Quick.

The editing on the video was seamless .. don't know how you do it NL :-) The separate races and the fact you combine them with primary/support makes for a lot of really fun combos. I think NL still has to unlock the final race, so still more fun to be had!

I would have loved a "5 copies of morselmaker" run. That guy could buff your champion to infinity and then some (remember he doesn't have to eat the morsels himself) and as long as you play all of them at once (before they summon the first batch of morsels) they are only 1 capacity each aswell, which is madness.

Sadly, there's a hard cap of seven units per floor regardless of capacity. You can only squeeze two Morselmakers onto each floor. Admittedly, that could have been two per floor, which would be hilarious with a passable tank per floor.

Yellow skills like multistrike and sweep are not buffs and cannot be removed from units. The starting relic you had will never remove these, but its the same for the final boss with your units!

Hey NL, you can play a morsel maker on a floor with only 1 capacity left. They will still summon both their morsels which will overcharge the floor. They also work amazingly with gorge trigger units or any tanky or multi strike unit placed in front of them.

Yes, the Morselmaker creates Morsels that take up capacity, but he only takes 1, and the morsels only take 1 each, making him a technical 3 capacity creature that you can actually summon when your room only has 1 capacity remaining.
