Hey NL! Happy you’re back in STS. As a quick tip, if you go to settings and check “show card quick select keys”, it will number the cards in your hand. It’s super useful for knowing how close you are to the 10 card hand limit and if you need to clear up space for new draws. It’s only on PC, not mobile sadly

Dualcast isn't that good. It's okay when upgraded, but spending a draw for one extra evoke is pretty meh. That's assuming you'll replace the orb immediately. It's even worse if you don't channel, since you're also losing out on the passive effect you could have gotten for however many turns it takes to replace the orb.

My man is sleeping on Consume. Losing one own slot for 2 focus is actually goated if you get either Inserter as a boss relic to get an extra orb slot every other turn *or* you get a couple Capacitors, *or* you get the capacitor relic, *or* you get a Creative AI to get Capacitors. The fact that it's reusable focus gain is absolutely broken if you have a way to get orb slots, or just start with extras. Hell, you can even make it work with a pure evoke build and just mull yourself down to 1 orb slot for 4 focus. It's a very good card.

Take time to think through more than just the first card when picking a reward. You tend to reason through just the first option when the other two cards can be very beneficial. I think you're main issue is you reason based off of past performance rather than what the card can do for you currently in your current deck

I justify Prayer Wheel emotionally with this -- how often can you say "if I get X card, I basically win the game"? The prayer wheel is a future Glacier or Biased Cognition or whatever you think the deck needs. You could also read Prayer Wheel as "you can re-roll your worst card reward option" which is more exciting

Busted crown is so bad because of how rare cards are put into the card rewards. At the start of every act the chance to see a rare card is reduced to 0%, then it increases everytime you see a non rare card. Seeing rares in the shop also uses this same rare percentage. If you take busted crown you basically never see rares outside of boss rewards.
