I can't imagine this series without the Hunter being on every mission. You need something consistent to anchor to in the sea of features in each battle.

Hunter is required on story missions but optional everywhere else. That said I think the only time I've left them behind is when the game asked me to.

He's also just the strongest unit in the game, possibly excepting Dr. Strange. NL is still off a fair bit of his goodies (though he finally started using the good midgame suit passive) but he's an excellent unit when built well.

I'm pretty sure that when NL plays something for himself, he doesn't commentate. So those would be some really awkward videos to watch. :D The only reason we're getting bespoke SAP videos is because they get views. Midnight Suns 2 view count would look like this: episode 1 - 150k, episode 2 - 60k, episode 3 - 40k, episode 4 - 30k, episode 5 - 20k, episode 6 - 17k, and that's it, episode 7 never comes.

I’m barely interested in the story of this game at all, and zero interested in the “get to know all the team that act like annoying high schoolers, including the forty year old tech genius and sorcerer supreme” (actual gameplay is interesting though on the plus side) But man nl’s commentary makes the game so funny. Where I roll my eyes and sigh, he cracks a joke and it really makes the vods worth watching. Asking NL to play story games is pointless. I mean I wouldnt even count this game since he just mashes the skip button every time more than two lines of dialogue appear. That said, NL might unironically like Shin Megami Tensei since those game are pretty much divided in 10 hour blocks of nothing but core mechnics and those blocks are only interspersed with 5 minute discussions about philosophy.

Dave the Diver was doomed the moment it required basic literacy from NL. If a game forces him to read more than 2 lines of text at frequent intervals or requires an attention span of more than 5 seconds then it wont have good chances. Sucks but this is the nature of terminal streamer brain. Sadly there is no known cure.

29:06 pretty sure that's wasted essence. he selected the limbo portal that he just gave +1 heroism to and chose to keep the same ability enhancement, that's why there were 3 options instead of 2. his brain is a mystery. i honestly don't understand how he can show high levels of intellect but also act braindead like this, it's so frustrating.
