There are slight differences between the two versions. One being the whip hang time which is a tad shorter. Also the enemies jump out of the pots in this version which makes the whole affair a lot less reliable.

There are some small advantages to the original version. For examples, you can take ropes and bombs out of your inventory without actually using them, which allows you to use them to trigger traps in a pinch. Also, can you pick up items in the shop without buying them in the XBLA version?

You'll only be called a thief if you walk out with the item. What you can do in the PC version is use a shopkeeper's own inventory to murder him, if he's selling a freeze ray or shotgun or something

How regular people play the game: How I play the game: Steal shotgun from shopkeeper, kill him, steal jetpack if available, get 10k cash and get jungle shortcut.

NL, it would be great if you posted Spelunky videos in a standard size(say 15 or 20 minutes) with game sessions sometimes splitting in the middle. The length of the video is often a big spoiler that I find hard to avoid.

Actually the dog does not survive 2 hits from the arrow trap. It survives one, just like you with 4 health, the second arrow kills him =)

No, you can't, but that is a good thing...very frequently did I pick up an item to instantly be called a thief. I never was able to throw items without using them, just was able to select them in the weird inventory thing, didn't know that ws possible. Still though, the XBLA is nothing but the game taken and improved upon, in the most literal sense. Some people are screaming at me about how the bow and pistol is gone so the XBLA version sucks, but those literally had no use, shotguns better.
