When the pilot asks if you guys had lots of experience with canoes and then says "because it's not a gift", it's basically word to word translation of a saying we have in Québec which is "C'est pas un cadeau". It means "it's going to be tough". He was referencing to what you were about to get yourselves into, wanted to make sure you knew what you were doing. I must say, from what I have seen in the previous videos of this series, you guys are tough. Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy experiencing trips like these to further my own knowledge and know what I might run into when I go out there. Physically and mentally. Cheers!

The pilot is hilarious, also when he grabs the case with the small guitar in it and says "tabernac-and-a-half!". He'd probably be a riot to spend an evening with, quaffing cold draft beer, in some 'old style' Quebec tavern - telling us stories about his bush pilot's career...

I have watched your videos for a few years, but only recently showed them to my husband, who is now completely addicted. He did A BIT of canoeing ABOUT 50 YEARS AGO and it was a life changing experience and he's reliving all of it right now. Really awesome. Also - as I'm a geologist myself - your geo-explanations are ace!

Noah's description of the geology in various places is fascinating. The rock of the Canadian Shield is probably the oldest on Earth, being some 4.5 billion years old - granite. Close call yesterday, the 29th of June, with an asteroid, estimated to be between 120-260 metres wide, passed at about 290,000 km from Earth, and WITHIN the distance of the Moon's orbit. Most astronomers consider that 'a whisker' and dangerously close. Perhaps Noah could comment on this and a 'back-of-the-envelop' estimate as to the size of the crater that this asteroid could have gouged-out and the other extraneous damage? And, we contribute to spend our money on wars, rather than a systematic search of our Solar system for such dangers...

The bugs remind me of when I was bush cruising in Northern Manitoba. Take it from a Forester, NEVER WEAR BLUE! The best is beige or dull pink or dull yellow. Bugs love the ultraviolet spectrum. 100 mg of Vitamin B1 daily. Never eat bananas, eat citrus fruit. And p.s. Muscol is just Foresters aftershave. In Manitoba I heard two mosquitos talking, one said "Let's take this one back to the swamp", the other replied, "No or the big ones might get him".
