My comments are in no way a criticism of the fantastic people who danced or watched the dancing. In my opinion there should be no place in Northern Soul for striving to gain or win a competition by defeating or establishing superiority over a fellow Northern Soul peer. What next ? Should there be a category for Special Dancers, with an intellectual (learning) disability, irrespective of their autistic characteristics. Maybe a wheelchair and zimmer frame category. This event is good for perpetuating the love of dance music but someone with a smart suit or frilly skirt is making a considerable amount of money. The next money raising performance may be a carbon copy of Strictly Come Dancing. I do not agree with business men and women taking advantage and making a living out of the passion we all feel and express for music. You are turning the scene into a circus and you'll get away with it because Billy Smart did..

IN MY OPINION THE COMPETITION IS NOT FAIR AGE IS NOT TAKEN INTO CONSINDERATION BECAUSE SOME ONE 30 YEAR'S YOUNGER HAVE A MASSIVE ADVANTAGE ON THE ONE'S A LOT OLDER IT SHOULD BE RUN IN AGE CATEGORIES AGE ALWAYS WINS AS YOU KNOW YOUR OLD BODY CAN'T DO WHAT IT DID 30 YEARS PREVIOUSLY FACT
