Dante Lyrics:
A war below that can’t be seen
fathoms deep, the mortal shell grows tired
Irrational or pre-determined destiny
Serenity, compulsion crossing wires
I hate the silent reminders of nothing but heartache
Who’s to decide what is right when your choice was cathartic
I can’t forget
What I regret
But I accept my punishment
I can’t forget
Our disconnect
The things that we love just hurt us in the end
These memories are transient
Could anything have really made a difference?
Could open arms change fractured minds?
Shatter forced perspectives?
Do you still slip through my fingers?
I hate the silent reminders of nothing but heartache
Who’s to decide what is right when your choice was cathartic
I can’t forget
What I regret
But I accept my punishment
I can’t forget
Our disconnect
The things that we love just hurt us in the end
I hate the silent reminders of heartache
I hate the silent reminders of heartache
I hate the silent reminders of nothing but heartache
Who’s to decide what is right when your choice was cathartic
I can’t forget
What I regret
But I accept my punishment
I can’t forget
Our disconnect
The things that we love just hurt us in the end
I hate the silent reminders of heartache
I hate the silence

This really showcases Marcus' vocals, to be able to hit highs like that and also pull off the screams he does, what a gifted and skilled bloke. To me, this is almost like Sleepless and Clockwork had a baby. I am in love with this sound and I love the direction Northlane is taking with this. Bring on this EP.

I realized that when I saw them last year on tour with alphawolf and fit for a king. They just have a sound that is so unmistakably northlane. No one else sounds like them. That was such a good show - we had gotten over a foot of snow in the previous 24 hours in SLC and basically the whole city was shut down - I was so worried they wouldn't be able to have the show but they did and it was amazing

@@MsRedbelly I suspect Josh probably wrote the lyrics on this one. He was tight with the gutarist Ryan from Polaris who died last year. Not much came out on the cause of death, but with a history of struggling with depression and being 26 I suspect he took his life. It makes the lyric "Who's to decide what is right when your choice was cathartic?" make sense.

Bloodlines is still one of the most painful yet cathartic songs i've ever heard. Up there with hell finds you everywhere by thousand below ft noah sebastian, and broken by alleviate. The song is word for word a representation of my childhood but even more than that the video is a shockingly faithful/accurate visual depiction of my childhood home and the environment/conditions i lived in and the family dynamic except that it wasn't just my dad who was abusive and an addict, it was my mom, dad and older brother who were all addicted to the same substance and all abused me in different ways. My dad beat me, my mom emotionally and mentally tormented me as well as physically torturing me (examples include burning my hand on a hot stove element as punishment, whipping me with belts and straightened out metal clothes hangers until i bled, my back still to this day is scarred to shit and legitimately looks like a recreation of some of those photos of slaves backs) and my older brother mentally tormented me as well as beat, cut and burned me and he also sexually abused me for years, sometimes every day for multiple days on end. That song really helps me when i'm struggling with the memories and emotions.

The song where it gets newer fans into this band and I'm really hoping they get some notice because it's time northlane and few of the modern metal bands get some recognition for a change than rather older metal bands like metalica or slipknot always being the main spoke. About. If djent sounds more like this where it isn't all pure aggression then I think it has a huge chance of become mainstream again like back in 2014 - 2016

С момента, как вышла эта песня, она всё время на повторе. Такая гармония музыки и клипа, акцентов, голоса. Такая динамика и долгое послевкусие в конце. Влюбилась в эту группу ещё сильнее.

They can never do no wrong in my eyes. Everything they put out is massive. Jon recently stated while writing Obsidian that he’s moved into a writing path that focuses more on rhythm and the overall nature of the beat of a song. The core of the composition that you feel in your chest, and I have never been more here for it.

This is incredible. No words. I am a Northlane fan since the start when I discovered them In Brighton thanks to Architects. Got hooked inmediately and I remember walking in the North Laines listening to their music just because. Enjoying every single second and relating to their lyrics. Alien was probably the album I have listenened to the most in my entire life. I am digging the progression since. I know I am going to love this album, just as much as I have enjoyed every other one. Keep it on guys
