With the big change in vocals in 2014 came increasingly elaborate, beautiful and skillful instrumental compositions and even singing... Sorry if I'm late as fuck with this topic, ya'll are probably way past that. But this vid just reminds me how they are a very different band now - without the mystical, transcendental quality from the Discovery and Singularity era, Singularity being the absolute pinnacle in that regard. I'll never forget feeling the afterglow of a good acid trip, almost throwing up on my way to class because of the energy and intensity of Adrian's performance on every.single.track. blasting through my headphones... It was almost as if he was channeling entities who abused his system in order to communicate an empowering message to the listener. So powerful, so inspiring... God bless his soul

@deviltelletubbie5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, think you’re right! Fairly sure that in the music videos for Discoveries, you can even see one of the guys using a 6 string. Guess G# isn’t too mad of a tuning for a 6 string to handle. Singularity took it lower though so those 7s were totally needed.
@DJENTISNTNOTAGENRE5 жыл бұрын
One of them, not sure if it was Josh or John, used to play a baritone 6 while the other played a 7 string, if I remember correctly.

@@Dantelemartez Singularity for sure had 7s because that's when they started playing in that F/A# tuning. I'm pretty sure I remember watching the Dispossession video and one had a 6 and the other a 7, but I could be wrong.
