2:37 - 2:52 MAGNIFICENT!! I can tell that you really feel the part of the song that follows, as well. I was talking with a friend of mine earlier this evening about not being able to sleep well the last few evenings, and it is currently 1:49 a.m. in the very early morning as I watch this video and leave this comment. The theme of the song and the timing could not be more perfect. 2020 -- it was the year of forced disconnection from others, but I feel like we've been disconnecting for a while now anyway. Technology allows us to interact with so many people so easily, but with how many people do we truly interact on a deeper level? More than ever before, we also find ourselves searching for saints and saviors, and becoming furious when others have a different opinion about who should guide us. We fail to see that we are meant to be masters of our own destiny, and lead by example, rather than following the empty words spoken by others when their actions so clearly and so consistently contradict those words. 2020 was a void, and we all felt it. If anything can be our savior and our salvation, outside of our own selves -- let it be music -- because through music, we feel and understand more deeply. I'm not sure if I'm leaving something deeply poetic here or something that I'll read tomorrow and wonder what I was thinking in my own sleep-deprived state, but I'm feeling it right now, so I thought I would share it. That's what good music does -- it makes you feel and think. Thank you for doing both with this magnificent cover version of a great song by a great band! 🔥🔥❤🔥🔥💯⭐

@@Morphide I might have been a bit overly dramatic in the prior comment I left last night, LOL! I was just reflecting on how challenging 2020 had been for everyone, but the reality is that my 2021 is off to a great start and part of the reason that I haven't been sleeping great in recent nights is because of some GOOD things going on and because of excitement. It's been a mix of challenges and good things, but I am highly optimistic for the coming new year!😀

I don't know a lot of these songs and finding them with your covers makes me worry I won't like the originals if I check them out. The feels in this one are off the charts. The soft build-up was just so delicate and then when the chorus hit it's pure freaking epicness! Another amazing cover!

Wow - I didn't bother clicking on this for the first few days because I didn't think I liked Northlane. Love my d&b as well as lots of female vocalled metal though, so I'm glad I did today - this ticks lots of boxes. I should have known it'd be good if you've covered it - it's awesome! Wikipedia tells me Northlane have diversified their sound a lot from what I thought they sounded like, so I'll have to give them another listen. Somehow I doubt I'm going to prefer the original to this though. Thanks!
