Yes, correct and well spotted. I believe there is another IC between the problematic BGA and the charging port. Just thought I’d mention it. Maybe worth a quick look and probe about before siting new component. Issue may happen once again if fault still exists. Hope this helps.

it won’t get hot as when plugging in the phone it isn’t drawing any current. But I guess you where just doing it to show the fault has gone? Anyway great video. 👍🏻

Just a tip, put the black plastics back on before trying to charge , some Samsung phones won't charge correctly without them

this is nit the case but yes, and that because if im not wrong its because theres a temperature sensor in the wireless charging coil

I don't think that had a liquid damage. Maybe the ip protector glue melted due to the high temperature?!

That isn't a charging IC. It's just an over voltage protection mosfet. You can just solder a jumper between some pads on the mosfet or between the two caps.

That is the charging ic. It goes out very often on s8 and s9.

My poco f1 has a problem, the usb port is not working except he charging . OTG not working, PC connection is not working, Fast charging also stopped working. i changed daughter board but not fixed the problem. then what could be the real problem, thanks

Yeah s9 s9 plus always have that problem they will not charge if anything connected to wireless charging is remove from the board..
