About The NorthShore Percussion Ensemble-
NorthShore Percussion Ensemble is a group of like minded
percussionists based in the northern region of Chicago. With solid
backgrounds that range from pop music to marching and concert
percussion ensembles, they bring a unique voice to the genre that is
both challenging and accessible. Much of their selections highlight
the impact percussion has had in cinematic and electronic music
utilizing ambient sounds as well as intricate rhythms that emulate
modular synthesizers. NSPE pays homage to the history of the art
form while finding new ways to blur the lines from percussion
ensemble music to other genres.
