My father worked for the NP, and I had the privilege to take two trips from Minneapolis to Spokane on the North Coast Limited back in the 1960s. Greatest ride ever.

Starts giving me an idea of the size of the museum and the number of vehicles and engines in the collection. Such a move is easier when the museum is closed, but it is very special to be able to watch it take place. At 100 tons, I trust the Northern has working brakes and the air was connected. Thank you for showing.

It's been many years since I've had a moving view from the rear observation car. That would have been back in the Illinois Central and Rock Island passenger train days. I did, however, ride the caboose on the B&SVRR a few years ago. Thank you for the great video.

I never really knew this place existed until your KZbin videos started pooping up in my recommendeds. I only live an hour or so away and this place it top on the list once things get more normal again! I'm loving these videos so many little facts and history it's really interesting.

Modern ‘shoving platforms’ often have the caboose interior permanently sealed off, so there would be no access to the cupola or amenities... just an end platform to ride on while controlling a shove move.

Have you guys thought about investing in a railcar mover?

At 15:35 I can see a LTV A-B set but it would be cool if there was a video of them together and a walk on board through the A-B set.
