Well played Howard. Good aggressive play and close to the table too which means your opponent has less time to react 👍🏼 Just be careful of your ball toss on your tomahawk serves; you look to be throwing the ball towards yourself a bit and hitting it while it’s still rising. As you play better opponents and your level improves you may get pulled on this which can throw you off your game. Work on tossing it more vertically and letting it drop before you hit it. The serves will still be effective and no one will pull you on them then 👍🏼

@@neilmyatt1980 - thanks Neil - great feedback - yes I need to work on the ball toss which I will do. I watched your game v Richard Abrahams (3/2 win to you) - I was surprised at how much hard work you made of it - you made loads of mistakes. I beat Richard 3/0 in the Preston Vetts. My FB on your game is to vary your serves (in fact serve short MOST of the time)- by serving short double bounce they can only touch it short back or push/dig long - with your excellent FH loop you can then get in. I also think you play very much one game and I don’t see you changing that game very much - it is effective however but varying your length on the table, digging and pushing it about would imo improve you further. Any other FB you have on my game i really would appreciate it - “feedback is the breakfast of champions” - all the best

@@HowardMcCain99 thanks Howard, I also appreciate your feedback. I’ve always found Richard hard to beat - played him 3 times, lost first time 0-3, then beaten him twice in 5, but always a battle. He now uses medium pips on his BH which I think accounted for a lot of the mistakes I made. Will continue to work on the short serves, and yes I also agree I need to have a B or C strategy when my usual A strategy isn’t working. I just look to loop everything so almost forget to try something else if I’m getting beat 😂

@@neilmyatt1980 - I’ve just watched your game v Adam (15/06). There were maybe 4 short serves between you both and each short serve won the point as it brought the opponent in to make a mistake. Also - Adam’s serves go back more than 30 degrees - AND - please watch closely but I think yours’ do too (not all of them but the tomahawk ones. You both play at a higher standard than I but like you I am improving. All the best Neil.

@@neilmyatt1980 - Richards a good player no doubt. I think re pips it’s about forgetting they have them on and reacting to the ball that’s coming back to you. Some players I know pack in if they are playing a pips player - I welcome them especially long pips as if you play BS into them TS comes back and you’re in - different I suppose when you’re playing high level players who “twiddle” the racket.
