The Apostle Peter, Acts 5:29. Except that Jack Trieber and this church choose to obey man rather than God. Where in the Bible does God say, "Thou shalt not wear a mask?" God said (through Peter in 1 Peter 2:13-15): "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men." Donald Trump says "Don't wear a mask," so Trieber and his church choose the word of Trump over the word of God.

I had a response from a family member to your fines. Her response...”They should appeal directly to the Supreme Court for a violation of their First Amendment rights. A church here in Virginia sued our Governor and won, so there is precedent.” I pray this helps!

Thank you for this great truth...the main reason we have problems is what you have stated....many baby boomers and their adult children have no respect for any authority that does not do things their way. Only God can change this spirit...those of us who are it must pray fervently for God to interceded.

What about when rulers are a terror to good conduct rather than bad? Bible is very clear we are to stand against evil It doesn't say except for the government. God places government in place either to bless or to curse. Let"s bow to God rather than men and maybe then He will grant us a government that does as it is intended to do which is to be a terror to evil.

@@deborahohara920 so glad Pastor Trieber is submitting to authority at this time. Yes it is wrong to stand by any authority that goes against God. In this situation with covid19 it would be a stretch to say that our county health officials are purposely closing down churches for their own evil ways. By the way Pastor Trieber has agreed to abide by the rules .....I have always admired this man...he is doing the right thing moving services outside....God will bless him and Gods church for this act of humility. Cant wait until things open up ! Will visit North Valley Baptist Church.
