i just bought a 1996 bus just like this except the windows are different. it was operated by the german air force here in new mexico on an air force base. it has a plate giving the specs, it has 4.33 axle ratio. at 55 mph it was at 1950 rpm. I know I am wondering what sort of mpg to expect if I was to hold it at 55..? I figure since it has the same engine and transmission as a bigger bus it might be not too bad and maybe last longer... I need a spare tire and my rear bumper is bent.. do you guys sell parts? Chris

it looked like it was a rear engine bus because it has a big window in the back where the rear engine would be volkswagen and porsche had the engine in the rear like the porsche 911 the volkswagen beetle and the volkswagen bus

I am searching for a short wheel base TC1000 or something similar with ADA lift. If I cant find one shorty then I would buy a Mini-Bird -- Any suggestions? I would love a short 25 foot length TC2000 type. Either front or rear engine. Thanks
