My twin brother and I entered the world in the older buildings in 1955. My daughter and I flew over the Chicago/Evanston shoreline two years ago and it was cool to point out the area where Mom was born. Lake Michigan is HUGE!

Great Hospital. I was there in 2/22/2011 for a Stem Cell Transplant that stopped the Progression of Progressive Systemic Scleroderma. Dr. Richard K. Burt saved my life. Excellent.

Here's a feature of the hospital. You call the main number and ask for an appointment with an specialist in a particular area, you get put on hold for 8 minutes, then they transfer you to another number and you wait on hold three minutes, then they answer and put you on hold for another five minutes, and then they tell you you have to call the office directly to make an appointment and that office is closed now that you've been on the phone for 25 minutes. Horrific. Then you ask for a supervisor, and the supervisor tells you that they should have been able to make the appointment after all, and that you don't have to call the office directly. What in fucking God's name is going on at this place? Try it yourself. Pick a doctor in a specific area. Call the main number. Ask for an appointment. Repeat the name of the doctor three or four times, as they request it. Watch the magic.
