Hi James! Such a great video. Right now I’m applying to schools and I’m thinking of applying to Northwestern Early Decision! I just wanted to know what you love most about the campus? Do u get to go to Chicago a lot with your friends? Or are u always stuck on campus? How are the research opportunities? Sorry for the questions, but I would love to hear from an actual student!
@JamesJia5 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you and I'm glad you like it. I think one thing I love about Northwestern is how many opportunities there are for me to choose from - I really like the flexibility and the kind of challenges I got here. In terms of physical places (just in case that's what you meant) - I love anything with a lot of glass - so YESS Mudd and Ryan Fieldhouse and Kellogg!! Nahhh, I don't go to Chicago enough - or at least not as much as I wanted to. Life is a bit too busy for me - but that might be because of me only! I know many people enjoy their weekend in Chicago~~ Research is great! Professors are really approachable and there's many research groups that an undergrad can joy - as long as you want to! Check out my latest video though about my life in a week at NU - should be better than this one too! kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4W6cn2Cd7CKpqc Email me at shengzhijia2022@u.northwestern.edu if you have any additional questions - happy to answer! :)

@JamesJia4 жыл бұрын
HEYYY thanks! So we have intercampus NU bus that runs from Evanston to Chicago downtown every weekday, and that's free. For the weekend, you can take the purple line I guess it costs around $2~$3 round trip?

Do bachelors and masters live together in dormitory?

Thanks for the question! The answer is no -- graduate students are not allowed to live "on campus". They have their own graduate housing off-campus either rented by themselves or provided by the school.

What are the requirements to apply to medical school?
@JamesJia4 жыл бұрын
hmmm... I'm not sure -- I'm not on a pre-med track. Pretty sure you have to be on a pre-med track (taking certain classes and getting certain grades), and you have to take MCAT..?
@stephanysantos83855 жыл бұрын
Can I do pre-med in this University? ( I'm a international student)
@JamesJia5 жыл бұрын
Hey Stephany, yes! You can do pre-med at Northwestern - it is not a major, but a "track" - on this track you will take all the courses (bio, chem etc) that is essential to apply to Medical Graduate School in US. Also consider about HPME program - a straight 7-year accelerated honors medical program at Northwestern! Direct admission to Northwestern Medical School.

@@JamesJia I get it. Can you tell me what do I need for my application? Like... GPA what is the average for example? (Sorry about my English)
@JamesJia5 жыл бұрын
@@stephanysantos8385 I believe it really depends on your profile and major. For engineering, normally people have an SAT around 1500-1550, ACT >=32, 33/36. But that really varies! You can find compare your profile with stats from Northwestern official page or online forum to gauge your competitiveness. :)
