It must be a nightmare for anyone inexperienced in working on Brit bikes when faced with various different thread sizes! You need a really wide selection of spanner’s & sockets. The next episode sounds as though it was a bit of a task. Looking forward to it.

For me, I really enjoy learning about the different tools, threads, etc. Collecting tools is part of the fun/enjoyment - I have a separate toolbox just for my commando. Being a mechanical engineer and having talented friends in our machine shop we have made some custom tools for my bike as well.

@@markpoling7917 Being an engineer by trade greatly helps. Having access to a machine shop with talented friends/ colleagues is like winning the lottery as far as maintaining old bikes is concerned. I’m so envious! Lol.

Just my opinion, don't use an impact driver to remove the nut. Remove it by hand
