I can only apologise for not knowing about the 1 rod rule when using zigs, I did read the rules but didn't notice it. A genuine mistake.

Haha I tried to keep it high to keep the noise down 🤦‍♂️ How did you get on was it your first visit? I like the look of that stretch of lake, might be better in the summer there!

@@davefreercarpangler It was our first visit, didnt really get any bites throughout the day unfortunately. We were all trying popups and maybe a little bit of boilie with on site pellet pva bags. We should of moved up to the top but we had 2 bivvies set up so didnt really want to take them down and move. Me and my mate plan to go back on the 28th of feb and try out hodgetts lake. Since it has a higher stock and more traditionally shaped. Hopfully we'll get our first fish from there. And yeah i agree that stretch of the golf club is probably really good may-sept.

never tried zigs but you have inspired me to try haha. I bought an adjustable zig kit last year and it's still in the packet haha

Tbh I didn't have much confidence in them before that session, had tried them half heartedly in the past to no joy. I'm 100% happy to use them now though lol, especially in deeper water 👌 thanks mate

@@davefreercarpangler no problem I've still yet too fish norton and I've a similar distance to drive as you From Darlington. I Went down to visit with my partner and the lad at the Cabin was helpful as could be, can't wait to give it a try come March probably jump on hodgetts or stocks 👍
