Oddi92 Well my whole trip cost me more than I expected only due to British Airways damaging my bike enroute and thus meaning I was behind schedule and missed by scheduled ferries. I did wild camp 4 nights of the trip. Despite this, it was still a life changing trip and I sleep easy at night knowing that all I have to do is jump on a plane for a couple of hours and I can be with nature and roam freely. Norway stole a large part of my heart and I now have Preikestolen tattooed on my leg with an Oscar Wild quote to accompany it…"Jeg Ønsker Å Leve"…or as Oscar said…"I don't want to earn a living, I want to live".

You know that the Nortern Light is only in Wintertime visible. So put on very good clothes. It is dark all the time in the winter and very cold. The landscapes from my point of view, can be best enjoyed in summertime, June to August. Days are very long and the nature is awsome. September I was also once in Norway, when Autumn arrived. The forrest are then very special with all imaginable colors. Maybe you can stay there one year so you can enjoy all the seasons of this magnificant country. It is very expensive in Norway, but maybe if you go for studies or a one year job with a visa. People are generally shy but very friendly as well, you will like it.

is wild camping allowed in norway? That would be one thing to do there, wandering/camping and refresh my spirit in the north :)
@TemperaMagenta8 жыл бұрын
Norway has their "Freedom to roam" law that allow for camping in uncultivated areas for short stays. Just make sure that you don't stay too close to any houses, that you aren't a disturbance to the land owners and that the site is left in the same condition as you found it. The rules are pretty straight forward. www.visitnorway.com/plan-your-trip/travel-tips-a-z/right-of-access/

Thank you so much for this. This made me feel so many things, and made me wonder how hauntingly beautiful it is to feel emotions and how easily us, human beings, get amused. This world is an exquisite place, and it holds so many emotions. Thank you, again.

Jeg har bodd her i 7 år, og jeg reiser veldig ofte rundt verden. Den gode fredelige følelsen jeg får hver gang jeg drar tilbake til Norge finner jeg aldri i et annet sted/land.
