On Iona - each stairwell has different coloured ornamental plates on the walls so you know where you are, and the carpet colours are the same. Forward is Navy, Mid Ship Grey and Aft is Red. Apparently Navy is forward to sail into the sea, Grey not sure and Aft is sunset. It sometimes helps to know where you are on the ship.

Your conservatory suite was the one we stayed in in December 2021 , only complaint was the noise from the Clubhouse till 2am/later , the boom boom noise , however loved the cabin , rebooked and our second time had one on deck 8 ! Brilliant and not as bad as people stated .

The trip was covered by P&O Cruises but it’s not for ‘free’, it’s in return for us producing a lot of high quality content which takes me a very long time to produce. Just like if they commissioned a photographer to shoot photos for a brochure, I was paid to showcase and share my experience on KZbin and Instagram. I am very proud of this partnership, and continue to inspire and help hundreds of people with their cruise holidays every year. The trip I’m currently on (World Cruise), is not part of any partnership though. Hope that helps. 😊

We were in 9607 to the left of your over the balcony view. Lovely welcome on board as we had a mini-suite. Our bed jammed on the wardrobes unfortunately. our only criticism of this conservatory suite. Amazingly quick boarding, less than 10 minutes. The Quays was amazing, Hook, Line and vinegar outstanding, Thermal Spa, like on Britannia sublime . I booked the Bon Voyage package as it was our wedding anniversary which was amazing value, so we ended up with two bottles of champagne and two boxes of chocolates! Amazing cruise, amazing ship, amazing crew. I have a bottle of Maribelle distilled on board awaiting the right time. If you want to and can, do it.

The gin distillery is not working. I think it’s just a prop that sells their ship’s gin! I asked when it would be running, and the cruise rep., said he didn’t know! Not that I was bothered. A gin distillery that can blow up seemed a silly idea to me. They do blow up, as I live in a village that had a distillery and it did blow up with terrible consequences for the owner.

Hi Brogan - we are on Iona in June for the fjords. Your trio of vlogs were invaluable as this is our first time on a cruise and I'm not sure I'm going to particularly enjoy the cruising part but Norway I'm sure will be lovely. I have a couple of questions...for someone who might think the evening 'entertainment' (ie music, singing, dancing) is far from entertaining what is there to do instead (are there talks? If so what kind of subject matter?). Secondly, is the Norwegian tasting menu on a specific night in The Epicurean or every night? Finally (I think), at Olden I want to do the Via Ferrata and Loen sky lift. When we were originally supposed to go in June 2020 that was a listed shore excursion - it isn't now so I'll have to do it independently. Did you know of/hear of anyone on your cruise do that and if so were timings okay (don't fancy a fjord swim to catch the ship). Many thanks, Paul
