The answer is YES it is the best train journey in the world. 😊Loved seeing this again! Britannia and Flam is a wonderful combo too. Getting off for the waterfall photos on the way back down is less crowded.

It really it! With the train, twizzy and pub there’s so much to do! You can also do loads of hikes, the sauna, RaiB rides and more!

Looking forward to our first visit to Flam on August. Do you know how far in advance you can book directly? Doesn't seem to move from April 1st on Norways best website. I'm wondering if they release in three month blocks 🤔

It was around 6 months before on our September cruise. We’ve just checked and it doesn’t look like the timetable goes further than March 2025 at the mo, so maybe not released yet, but doubt it will be long. When they do release, they book up extremely quick and will show sold out. The trick is then to keep checking as they release in batches - so originally we couldn’t book but we kept checking and times became available. They did sell out again within a day or two, but then more became available a few weeks later. It’s definitely best to do it DIY as it is half the price.

Do them both!!! Twizzy is a 2 hour booking so do that in the morning (don’t always need book or you are off early and they have availability) and then the train around 12:30/13:30 😀
