This is The Trollstigen, Norway - Norway's most jaw-dropping road! In todays motorcycling adventure, join us as we ride the BMW R 1250 GSA through the legendary Trollstigen (Trolls Road) and explore the stunning landscapes that Norway has to offer.
Starting our journey at the Hotel Utsikten in Geirang, we embark on an exhilarating ride through the twists and turns of Trollstigen. As we ascend the mountain, the Trolls Path Viewpoint provides us with awe-inspiring panoramic views of the surrounding fjords and mountains.
Along the way, we make a pit stop to admire the Trollstigen motorbike statue, a symbol of the road's rich motorcycling heritage. The statue pays homage to the daredevils who have conquered Trollstigen on two wheels.
After conquering the Trollstigen, we continue our adventure by taking the Afarnes-Solsnes Ferry.

That's great! It would have been nice to be able to see more than 5 meters when going down that road lol 😀. We are just happy that it cleared up when we got to the bottom enough to see the waterfall! Glad you had a great trip and thanks for watching. Sean and Emily

Excellent ride again! I drove the Trollstigen upwards in 2019. It was a little cloudy when we were down in the valley, but while I drove up, the clouds disappeared and we could see the valley and all the beauty of the place. After that I drove over the mountains to Geiranger.

Thanks buddy! Not going to lie we were a bit disappointed when we saw how cloudy it was. It did add to the mystery of the ride and at least we could see the waterfall at the bottom, although the drone was getting a bit wet in the mist. But yeah a great ride and up to the Geiranger is lots of fun too! Glad you had good weather and i'm sure we will return here again someday. Anyway it made our Epic road Blog section on our website which is just a bit of fun =) seanandemilytravels.com/epic-roads/trollstigen

cool thanks, those machines that cut tunnels in the snow are awesome! They do this hear in Switzerland with all of the mountain passes and it's so cool to ride through the tunnels of snow. These roads take a lot of looking after which is something people don't see so this was a great video to let people know why the roads take a while to open. cheers

There should be 40 videos in this playlist by the time we are done so hopefully that should keep you going through winter =) haha it will take more than rain to break our spirits lol 😅 Fortunately we got most of the rain at beginning of the trip when we were super excited about going to Norway.

Mostly nonsense talked by scare mongerers about E10....they've been using E25 in Brazil. E5 however has a slightly higher calorific value than E10 so gives a bit more mpg so is worth using dependent on the price differential. I live mostly in Germany and there are 4 variations....including mega expensive 98 octane.
@SeanandEmily
@SeanandEmily Жыл бұрын
Lot's of different opinions about it indeed. All motorcycle mechanics i have spoke to don't like it but as you say some places have used it for a while. Whilst the price is similar i will continue to put the E5 in. Yeah Germany can be pricey for fuel -especially if you accidently put that Shell V power racing 100 in lol!

I went in 2018 it was clear blue skies & the view from Dalsnibba was stunning. I had a day & half of rain in three weeks on the bike so I was lucky. If you head for Spain you know it will be dry, but Norway is a big gamble weather wise.

Wow that’s a good run of weather 😎🙌🏻. Yeah always a gamble for Norway but without the rain it wouldn’t be so beautiful 😊. For most of the time the weather didn’t really bother us as we were so excited just to be there, fortunately when we needed good weather (with the exception of this day lol) it was great. Yeah we had been to Spain prior to this trip and had 3 weeks of sun. Funny thing is we just got back from touring the UK and Ireland and had 1 rainy day in 4 weeks! 😁 Hope you are enjoying the Playlist 😎👍🏻

Normally I try to use 98 which always is E5 but it's not available everywhere. In Sweden the gas is 19:84 swedish krona now which is the same in Norwegian krona. When we rode to Lofoten this summer the gas was 26-27 Norwegian krona 😬

Great video! My wife and I did Trollstigen on our e-bikes four years ago. We got the descent on film and on You Tube. It was fantastic! In stead of taking the E39 from Kristiansund to Trondheim, I would take road 680. It's far more scenic. Good luck! :)
